Chose this place because of the positive reviews. 
Had to wait a while before getting a table. Had to wait again before the server brought us the menu (people who came after us already ordered by that time).
We had the country fried steak, a pancake and some eggs. The gravy was a bit on the peppery side, but freshly made. But then... inside the pancake was a black hair... worth mentioning that none of the kitchen staff wore hair nets.
Suffice to say we didn't enjoy the rest of our meal.

My husband and I have been going to the Rose for many years. Our favorite Breakfast
choice is the burrito.
It is HUGE, so HUGE we share it - half and half! It is filled with scrambled eggs, potatoes and a choice of sausage or bacon or ham. We ask for sausage. It is smothered with your choice of green or red salsa. We prefer the green salsa, but they can smother
it with both.  It is the BEST in the whole wide

The food is very good. The staff attentive. Coffee is decent. My wife and I really liked the small charming atmosphere.

WORTH THE WAIT!  Try the sausage and gravy with biscuits and eggs.  Bring your appetite. Good coffee too!
