Your West Avenue location 'customer service' ruined my day today. Apparently Salvation Army doesn't need to make money. I spent an hour in the store finding some clothes in the right size and when I got to the cashier there was a long line. I politely asked the young woman if she could hold my clothes until later that same day when I would purchase them. She said she would. I came back before closing to purchase my items , only to find out from a very rude older man that they had been put back "because we aren't allowed to hold clothes". Which is it Salvation Army? Here is a little lesson in customer service; say what you mean and mean what you say. If there are customers still shopping in your store and they are going to spend money, why not take their money? You can lock the door at five o'clock and still make the last sale. They way I see it; either you espouse Christian values and want to help people and/or you are there to make money. Your rude clerk failed you on both accounts. Why do you have people working in your stores that don't share your mission nor do they want to be there?
PS I had to give a star to post this review, so one star means absolutely nothing.

Camp counsellor. I truly enjoyed working with the team there. The kids were high energy and a lot of fun.

They will really help you if you really in need of food, for single, homeless and families with a few kids trying to make it one paycheck at a time.
