The Saint Paul Citadel Corps and Community Center is a home for worship as well as numerous community programs.
SPIRITUAL SERVICES
The purpose of The Salvation Army has always been to lead men and women into a proper relationship with God. His love drives everything we do—that means everything. Captains Geffory and Leticia Crowell are the ordained ministers who head the Saint Paul Citadel—a place of worship, spiritual growth, social service and community-building.
Sunday Worship Activities: Sunday Breakfast, Sunday School, Holiness Meeting, Junior Church
Youth Programs: Cub and Boy Scouts, Sunbeams, Moonbeams, Family Supper Club
Adult Programs: Bible Studies, Women’s Ministries, Worship Band, Men’s Club, Mid-Week Prayers, Community Care Ministries
CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER
The King Family CDC is a licensed, Christian day-care center providing quality supervision and enrichment for children ages 16 months to Kindergarten.
AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM
The ASP is a safe, structured program offering academic support, recreation and enrichment learning to children grades 1 to 5. Open Mon – Fri during the school year, from 2:30 to 5:30 PM.
HMONG OUTREACH PROGRAM
The HOP goals are to provide Hmong children an opportunity to know Jesus Christ, as well as to offer fellowship and fun. Sports and games—including traditional Hmong dancing for girls—instill principles of teamwork and physical fitness.
JUNIOR/SENIOR HIGH OUTREACH PROGRAM
This ministry includes sports, activities, and devotions for teenagers. We are blessed in having children who have aged out of our younger programs who are ready to continue being part of the Citadel family as they begin their teen years.
COMMUNITY CENTER
The Citadel Community Center includes a professional-size basketball court that is used by children at our ASP and CDC programs and by community groups.
OLDER ADULT MINISTRIES
We provide a safe, nurturing, pleasant environment for adults to network and grow. Programs are designed to enhance quality of life and encourage independent lifestyles for today’s aging population, addressing education, health and spiritual needs.
SOCIAL SERVICES
The Salvation Army Saint Paul Citadel provides basic needs services to thousands of Twin Cities residents through feeding programs, food pantries, thrift store vouchers, housing, rent and utility assistance, transportation, medical aid, employment assistance and seasonal services.
