On a recent trip to Corona Del Mar for business, we had the good fortune to stumble upon The Sandwich Spot. What a pleasant surprise it was! The place boasts an extensive menu, offering a diverse range of options that cater to all kinds of sandwich lovers. Each sandwich we tried was nothing short of amazing. The ingredients were fresh, the flavors well-balanced, and each bite left us wanting more. It's rare to find a spot where every item on the menu is a hit, but The Sandwich Spot in CDM certainly fits the bill. If you find yourself in the area, don't miss the chance to visit this hidden gem. Whether you're a local or just passing through, The Sandwich Spot is sure to impress with its delicious offerings.
On a sunny day in Corona Del Mar, I found myself at The Sandwich Spot, a cozy fast-casual eatery I decided to try for the first time. The weather was perfect for a midday meal, and I was keen on a relaxed lunch experience. Walking into The Sandwich Spot, the small yet welcoming ambiance struck me immediately. It's the kind of place where the simplicity of the setting belies the richness of the flavors on offer. The staff, appropriately staffed for the size of the joint, greeted me with a helpful and friendly attitude, setting a positive tone for my visit. Opting for takeout, I ordered the #2 'The Dani California Club' on a wheat roll - a sandwich that promised a blend of turkey, bacon, cheddar, and avocado. To complement it, I chose jalapeño chips, hoping for a spicy kick to my meal. The ordering process was smooth, and despite the restaurant being just right in terms of staffing, my order was ready in a surprisingly fast 10 minutes. As I waited, I noticed the diverse menu that caters to various dietary preferences, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. It's a thoughtful touch that speaks volumes about the inclusivity of the place. The pricing, I observed, was more favorable when ordering in-store compared to delivery services, a tip worth remembering for future visits. One of the most delightful surprises was their loyalty punch card system - a 'buy ten, get one free' offer that immediately appealed to my sense of value. It's a clever way to encourage repeat visits, and I could already see myself coming back to try more of their offerings. Sipping on my soda, I found the seating to be adequate for a casual dining spot. While there was no indoor bathroom, the cleanliness of the restaurant was commendable. The moderate noise level, accompanied by subtle background music, made for a pleasant atmosphere while I waited for my order. When my meal was ready, I was pleased with the presentation and the portion size - just right for a fulfilling lunch. The first bite of 'The Dani California club' was a delightful experience. The freshness of the avocado, the savoriness of the bacon, and the tender turkey came together in a harmonious blend, while the cheddar added a creamy richness to each bite. The jalapeño chips were a perfect side - crunchy and with just the right amount of heat. As I left, navigating the somewhat difficult on-street parking situation, I reflected on my visit. The Sandwich Spot in Corona Del Mar is a gem for those seeking a casual, yet satisfying meal. With its friendly service, diverse menu, and reasonable pricing, it's a place that warrants repeat visits. And with the added incentive of the loyalty card, I'm already looking forward to my next sandwich adventure here. The Sandwich Spot is more than just a place to grab a quick bite; it's a spot where quality, service, and value converge to create a delightful dining experience. Whether you're a local or just passing through Corona Del Mar, it's a place that should be on your sandwich destination list. Note: I ate my sandwich so quickly I forgot to snap photos. I'll be sure to return to the Sandwich Spot in the future to correct that oversight. Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free bread available and creating something vegan should be quite easy. Parking: There’s not a dedicated lot for the Sandwich Spot that I could find, but if you don’t mind walking there is on-street parking in the nearby vicinity.
Big, delicious sandwiches, great selection, and really fair prices. This was my first time in and I was impressed. I also really appreciate the fact that they were able to make me 13 sandwiches for a work event with only one hour notice. I will definitely be back! Thank you!!Food: 5/5
Best sandwich we've had anywhere. Everything about it tasted high quality; the mayo, the meat, the cheese and the bread. Super fresh.Food: 5/5
I got the chicken in the spinach wrap, with teriyaki and pineapple. It was delicious. We took our food out front to sit on the sidewalk facing PCH. WE got there just before the lunch crowd came, and it was crowded inside, as the line grew longer. I would not suggest parking on PCH, in front of the Sandwich Spot, because the line of traffic seemed endless. It took me a long time to get into the parking space. I mean, really long.
Lots of delicious options here for everyone! We love any sandwich on the menu especially on the Dutch crunch roll! so Yummy! We also appreciate that there are salads and gluten free options for our big family! There are a lot of great sandwich shops in the Newport Beach area but The Sandwich Stop has the most options and serves very generous portions!! So glad to have it in CDM!
There was 2 people total in line and took 45minutes to get 1 sandwich, just an absolute joke. I get having a wait if you’re actually busy but this is just insanity. Took them 30minutes before they even started making my sandwich.Food: 2/5
Best sandwich I've had since I left norcal. Mr. Pickles was my go to. Also, pretty affordable for the area.Food: 5/5
A damn good fresh sandwich. Good people too, mighty tasty though, there’s a reason they’re 5 stars and I’m just doing my part here Food: 5/5
I'm a self-proclaimed sandwich enthusiast, and this place exceeded my expectations. The variety of sandwiches on their menu is impressive. I opted for the Hot Chick, and it was a mouthwatering masterpiece. The bread was perfectly toasted, and the fillings were generous. Prices were reasonable too. This sandwich store has earned a spot on my regular lunch rotation!
