We hope you will be pleasantly surprised by our eclectic restaurant in downtown Minooka. At The Shrimp Barn we strive to make our food fresh and healthy. We have shrimp, fish, alligator, chicken, pasta, salads and sandwiches. We have Illinois wine.

Story

We have grilled, sauteed and fried shrimp, many types of fish, alligator and frog legs! Sea scallops, lobster tail and mussels too! We have a delicious honey stung chicken as well as chicken tenders are also on the menu. Our lettuce is hydroponically and locally grown. We have many yummy sauces and dressings that will become your faves! We have added pasta to our menu. Gluten free too! Our lettuce for our salads are hydroponically and locally grown. We have kidney bean salad that looks as good as it tastes, the best tangy cole slaw you will be craving for and macaroni salad that has a mayonnaise base. We have french fries and onion rings as well. Eli's cheesecake is also on our menu. Did I mention the wine? We have wine splash tastings and sell wine by the glass or bottle! You can buy a bottle and take it home too! Prepare yourself for some wines from the Illinois area. Not only are they great tasting, they also have some cool labels. The wines will make perfect gifts for any occasion! We sell craft beers as well from Chicago, downstate Illinois and Louisiana. Dine-in, Catering, Pick-up and Delivery is $3.00
We add vintage finds from consignors that I've been lucky to add to our place weekly. You can purchase painted/distressed furniture as well as smaller items like picture frames, signs and other home goods. Who doesn't like one of a kind items that will spruce up your home? We have free wi-fi. Ask your server for the password while dining. Feel free to "check in" on Facebook, Twitter or any other social media while dining in. We do ask, however that you spend face to face time with the people you are with. At the Shrimp Barn we love to see you bonding and enjoying time with your family and friends...go on, make us jealous that we are working and you are not.
