Welcome to The Silly Yak Bakery! Our Certified Gluten-Free Kitchen operates 4 days a week! On Mondays we do our speciality allergy baking with egg-free/casein-free/gluten-free (EFCFGF) and casein-free-/gluten-free (CFGF) items. Tuesdays & Fridays are our two largest GF baking days featuring items from our Walk In Bake Schedule. On Wednesdays we make our pizzas. Friday, you’ll find us baking breads & treats to get ready for the Farmer’s Market. Remember you can also order on-line at: www.sillyyakbakery.com for pick-up at the bakery or delivery to your home. Friendly staff! The two star is i went there for gluten free breads. And I was not impressed with the breads I bought.

Best gluten-free breads ever! It's so good, that it's served as a gluten-free option at a fancy restaurant in Madison:  Liliana's. That's how I discovered Silly Yak. I am so grateful for this bakery because I have a severe intolerance. It also has "regular" baked goods for my husband.

Went to this place a few years ago with a friend who is gluten intolerant since we'd heard such glowing reviews. My friends and I helped her pick out a few items after sampling them ourselves. They WERE all delicious. But the reason I'm giving this a one star review is that when it came time for our friend to buy her items, the man ringing us up told us scoldingly, "Next time you come in you ALL have to buy something." I thought he was joking at first so I laughed. But the glare he gave us told me that he was actually serious. I don't care how delicious a bakery's items are-- that kind of rudeness kept us from coming back at ALL. And the funny thing is that we probably WOULD have been regular customers had it not been for that disrespectful comment. So, this place is good. But be prepared for really poor  customer service.

Walked in to see a huge case of fresh, delicious looking treats only to realize they weren't even gluten free. Most of the gf items were frozen and the fresh gf selection was minimal. My scone was tasty but I wasn't overly impressed.

Not just for gluten-intolerant folks - they have excellent gluten-filled goods as well.
