I am certified by the Esthetic Skin Institute in the art and science of advanced techniques in Dermal fillers and Botulinum Toxin Type A. I have been an RN for over 25 years. I practice under the supervision of Dr. Adler, MD, a dermatologist, who is also the medical director of Looks Rx.

Botox is used to paralyze the muscle it is injected, which begins approximately on day 3 of the injection. The dose of Botox Cosmetic is not the same, or even comparable to other botullinum toxin products. Botox is generally used for the eyes and above, but is also used for other areas. The most common areas include "crows-feet", frown lines, and forehead lines. When treating the frown lines, Botox naturally gives a nice little brow lift most people love. I also use Botox for the jawline. This gives more of a definition of the jawline, so as to not be as blended into the neck.
Juvederm is a smooth gel filler made from a synthetic form of Hyaluronic acid, sugar molecules. Hyaluronic acid is the natural substance/volume we are made of. A compounded numbing cream (BTL-Benzocaine, Tetracaine and Lidocaine) is used prior to most injections and only takes about 20 minutes to take effect. I use Juvederm Ultra XC, which lasts longer than regular Juvederm and gives you smooth natural-looking results that lasts up to a year, and longer. Juvederm Ultra XC also has Lidocaine in it, which also deadens the skin immediately. I use Juvederm on most people for "smoker's lines", and about 98% of them have never smoked. I also use Juvederm to fill in scars, deep skin folds in the lower facial area, smile lines (parentheses), marionette lines (vertical lines from the corner of the mouth down to the chin or jawline) causing a "sad face", and also saggy "jowls", smoothing away unwanted wrinkles and restoring the natural contours of your face. Another popular area for filler (Juvederm) are the lips. I specialize in doing tiny lips, since I have them myself, I empathize with these patients in particular. I am able to give those lips a small amount of definition, so as to not change your smile or your individual look. Juvederm is also perfect for ear lobe piercings, in which the hole has been stretched out due to heavy earrings. After treatment, you are able to wear your favorite dangling earrings again. Juvederm is also very popular in the upper cheek area and helps to fill in the areas that appear hollow. With Juvederm, "everyone will notice, but no one will know".
I also offer a variety of chemical peels (mild enzymatic hydration masks to TCA and Salicylic Acid). The peels I do are mild to "medium" peels, which are very effective, as the next level up, which is "strong", and requires anesthesia by a physician. After one of my medium peels, you should allow at least 4-5 days to not wear make-up. You will start to actually peel in about 3 days, like a sunburn, and then continue to peel over the next few days. The results are worth the wait! After the peel, you will have smaller pores, fine lines will be lessened, brown age spots will either be gone or almost extinct, and what you will have left is fresh, new, tighter skin.

My personal attitude toward doing cosmetic injections is, if there is anything in life that can make you feel better about yourself, boost your confidence, or just make you secretly feel refreshed, then do it. To me, it's similar to wearing new panties and bra under your clothes...no know knows but you, although sometimes it's the smallest things that can make you more feel special about yourself.

We also have another physician on site, Dr. Trung Nguyen, MD, who is a family practice physician who is doing bio-identical hormones for men and women, as well as Botox for migraines, trigger point injections, B12 injections and the "Diet Shot".
We are also offering the HCG diet program which is detoxing and resetting your adrenals as well as allowing you to shed 15-30 pounds in just 30 days. We pair this with weekly classes and support groups, weekly weights, vital signs, and measurements, daily encouraging emails and our sauna suit for optimal results! We have a full gym with personal trainers, personal Pilate Reformer lessons, and group boot camp classes.
We also offer the Skin Pen, which is a microneedling treatment which causes tiny micro injuries to your face, neck, or chest (other areas too). This process causes your body's natural ability to repair itself and create new cells to grown under and push out the old ones, in turn, improving or resolving scars, pop marks, surgical incisions, brown spots, fine lines, wrinkles, large pores, saggy skin, and pigmentation issues!
The other new technology we recently purchased, is the Pelleve radio frequency machine which is used for skin tightening and lifting, with no downtime. It focuses the heat energy to different targeted zones on the face and it a BIG winner for the neck and jowls!! This RF laser also has the PelleFirm, which is a tightening machine for the body. It smooths the cellulite of the stomach, thighs, knees, and hips by breaking up the fat cells and melting it into the blood stream, causing it to be excreted through the lymph system, liver and kidneys!
