We stayed at a number of motels in Monterrey and this one was our favorite. The owners obviously take pride in this place which is nice to see. Our room was very clean, ready on time, and quit. The free breakfast was good and included waffles, cereal, coffee, etc. There is a 24 hour gas station next door which concerned me at first but turned out awesome because 1) we never heard noise from it and 2) it made it very easy to buy bottled water, snacks without having to pay a premium or go far.

Clean beds, very nice bathroom, conveniently located right in the heart of downtown Monterey, looks very retro which adds to the Mystique of the place. Strongly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in Monterey. Just wish stairs were more accessible and the walls were a bit more soundproof.

the bed sheets were not changed, see photo attached! And a busy gas station is in front of the hotel not disclosed. how bad? we left hotel after checked in without a refund.

Great location, 12 min walk to fisherman's wharf. Close to restaurants. Rooms are big and spacious. Parking is a little tight but we did manage to find a spot.

Nice staff. Rooms ok. The shower is a big disappointment though. No pressure...
