The Heathman is the classic downtown Portland hotel. The Bar is a longtime favorite. It's a little more casual and still comfortably elegant. We stopped in for boozy slushies after work. Angelica at the bar was amazing and made a fantastic old fashioned.Food: 5/5
My wife and I visited Portland for the first time for a wedding and stayed at the Heathman. The hotel is stunning with its library, tiny chocolate shop and the tavern for food and bev. The rooms were comfy and clean, the staff was incredibly accommodating. Even when our flight was canceled they helped us with additional nights and Angelica at the bar was super friendly, listened to our story and made us feel less alone when we just wanted to get home. Highly recommend and will return
My daughter and I were there for the Holiday Tea. We had been seated at least 15 minutes before a server came, and only after I inquired about it. Other guests who had been seated after us had already been served tea. Once our server came, she was great. The food was superb!Food: 5/5
As I am not native to Portland, I often times find myself discovering gems based on reviews. This establishment is no different! Another exquisite experience once again added to my life. It would not have been the same without the riveting presentation and service from our server Thomas! Thomas provided me and my family the most pleasant of surprises with his service. It would not have been the same without him, as well as the wonderful people that made this day possible. I hope your experience is as lovely as mine was!
I was in town staying at the Heathman for a conference and checked out the Tavern. The service was great thank you Ben!, and the food and drinks were awesome. I'll definitely stop by again next time I'm around. Dietary restrictions: Most places, I can't have the fries because I'm gluten free- I was so glad to hear that their friers are 100% gluten free. The steak frites was lovely.
We really enjoyed sitting at the bar and having a few drinks and bites during happy hour. Angelica took care of us and was wonderful! Atmosphere was relaxed, service was excellent, but we wished we could have stayed longer—they close so early! Please consider extending the Tavern hours.Food: 5/5
Angelica was an amazing bartender and server! She had great conversation and knowledge about Portland. I appreciated her kindness as a Solo Traveler in the city!Food: 4/5
I had a great time, the food was great and our host Tom, was fantastic. Excellent customer service and was super attentive, honestly 11/10 Employee, I only wish I had more money to tip him. Overall just a great experience and I will be glad to return again.Food: 4/5
Portland Wing Week brought us to The Tavern at Heathman. Their wing, Red-eye to Beirut listed as Red-Eye to Lebanon on Portland Mercury's site, was utterly fantastic! There were so many spices that worked together in harmony, none overpowering the others. The garlic toum sauce was quite the creamy adventure, pairing perfectly with the rub.
I had a great time and great service at your restaurant. Tom was my host. His attentive service and friendly demeanor create a welcoming atmosphere for me and my family. He was constantly delivering outstanding service with a genuine smile. He is a great guy.Food: 5/5
