Bought 24 umbrellas from this store because of good deal.

had a argument with the staff because she said they do not give free umbrella bags ,however,they did give umbrella bags before for on sale umbrellas when I shopped there.

they keep telling me the person who give umbrella bags were just generous which doesn’t,t make any sense to me. All they have to say is sorry sir ,we are closing . All the clearance items do not have bags.i guess that’s too difficult to say? Anyways,that was a terrible experience .

But  I have to admit they make good umbrellas and I love buying umbrelllas from them. I saw the news,the owner needs to go for surgery.hope the owner get better soon. I guess stars.5stars for their hard work and one star off for their attitude.

Very knowledgable staff.

Good selection of different styles of umbrella, with a wide variety of patterns. They have both carbon fiber and metal frame umbrellas and a several sizes of compact and straight/stick umbrellas; more variety than I ever thought I'd need!

If I have one complaint it's that they don't have many carved handles (only one when I was there).

I bought umbrella long time ago and it was on sale. My first time use that new umbrella,once I open it never closed. I went shop again to exchange but shop staff refused it. Staff even didn't believe me it was already broken. I told them you just sold me broken one as sale. And staff said to me that she can give me $10 off if I buy a new one. KIDDING ME? I already paid and it was sale but it wasn't cheap.She contacted owner and I spoke with owner and she said to me that it is common scene in Canada I can't exchange sale even it is broken. Usually $10 off but you can buy new umbrella from sale and pay just $10.....It is common sense in Canada..... OMG What a discriminate person. 
OK shop owner has to know it is NOT common sense in Canada at all. I talked this story to my all "Canadian" friends and they all said it's not common sense in Canada. It was my worst customer service experience ever.

Entering the Umbrella Shop was an interesting experience to say the least.

The interior of the store looks and feels antique, and everywhere you look you will see umbrellas. All colours, shapes, styles, materials etc. As of 2016, you can even pick your own handle and customize the umbrella to your likings.

The only staff at the store was at the checkout and he was REALLY friendly and knowledgeable about what he was selling (Like an umbrella geek, the good kind). Have in mind that the store will not only sell umbrellas, but also repair them (they have to be from the Umbrella shop though), for something that may vary from 0 to 10 CAD, which is cool if you get really attached to your umbrella.

As for the pricing, yes you will find cheaper umbrellas out there, but I don't know about quality. The umbrellas from the shop looked really sturdy, firm and the opening mechanisms were smooth and working as a well-oiled machine.

I bought one umbrella there, and will probably continue buying there everytime I need one.
