I would give it 0 stars if I could. Awful campus, constant construction and inadequate student parking. Almost the entire front part of the school is blocked off due to construction. Despite construction, the school doesn't put student's convenience and well-being as a priority. Rules will be strict and unyielding even during summer and no classes. Charges are ridiculously high despite the fact that the school fails to communicate effectively concerning parking location changes during construction times. They will try to charge you for almost everything, be careful with reading all the signs they have around parking lots. They've cut down on so many courses and good teachers, and brought up tuition to build useless structures instead of new parking spaces or fixing old buildings. During semesters it takes about a good mile walk to get to class from parking. Additionally, some of the buildings, for example, Life Science are so worn down that during rainy weather will leak huge amounts of water that will break the ceiling, and several buildings have flooded due to bad infrastructure.

I would not tag it to "one of the great schools". I joined this school with a big hope and later, I found out that everything is just below the expectation. I sensed something fishy right on the International Orientation Day. I had the unconditional admit and then, I was forced to two prerequisites, adding $6k to my expense and another semester for nothing good. Oh wait! Things started getting worse from here. Not all the courses are offered round the year and you have to play a sort of 'tug-of-war' at midnight if you want to get enrolled in courses of your choice. The worst part is the Graduate Advisor. Either she doesn't know the system or she thinks I am a fool. I can't enroll in 4 courses in a semester???? I had 4.00 cumulative GPA and I was denied enrolling to 4 courses in a semester because 'this is not the system', according to graduate advisor. SeriouslY?!? I do admit there are ONLY A FEW good professors who know the stuff and help you all the way. I think I never had choices here, everything was more or less forced upon me. I could have become something if I were given choices, but I have become nothing now. Suggestion: Do NOT join this school for graduate courses especially Industrial Engineering. If you want to learn something and mold your career to one of your choice, do NOT JOIN UTA!

Welcome to the worst University in the universe. I am doing online master program and I had two courses at the same time, I did not know that. This is online master program and students cannot take two courses at the same time. But I did it. I failed the one course because I did not know that. Either my professor or AP coach or my advisory informed me about it. As a result, I failed the course and I have to pay the course fee to get the course. Last year, me and my friend asked our advisory to take two or three course during summer. But the advisory said no because this program is accelerated program. Overall, the system cannot allowed to students to take two courses but I did it and I failed it. No one made a contact with me. I send the email my advisory and I did not get the final answer about the course fee. If I cannot pay the fee until this month end,June 30, I cannot get the course. I mean I have to wait one more month. That's why, the worst university in the Texas. Advisory, she is very busy. Professor and AP coach are very busy to send an email to student when they forget or do not turn in assignment. It was my last course to complete my master program which is Curriculum and Instruction in Math Education.

You know, I was going to give your college a good rating, but then I remembered that a student committed suicide just a few days ago because your school denied him legal due process, did not tell the Title IX coordinator, did not let him communicate with witnesses who could stand in his defense, and found him guilty based off no evidence and nothing but the claim of a gay student (who was hitting on the straight kid, and only went and accused the straight kid, the victim, of writing "gays should die" on his laptop" after the gay kid was nicely but honestly rejected bcuz the kid was straight.) PS- Heather Snow is the administrator responsible for this, and her disgusting, evil self should be fired ON THE SPOT!!! I don't care if she has tenure. FIRE her. That's EVIL what she did. The woman should be charged with manslaughter. What she did is unforgivable. Also, there's a few obvious inconsistencies with the gay kids story, anyway. So even aside from the fact he had zero evidence, the straight kids story just makes a lot more sense to begin with, for example: 1) How did the straight kid know the random kid in his class was gay, unless the gay kid had hit on him? Classrooms at colleges are typically large, and there's a good chance he didn't even know he was gay. 2) What "motive" did the straight kid (the victim here) have, to write that on the gay kids computer screen? Clearly, the risks (extremely harsh penalties, loss of entire future) outweigh the benefits (none) of doing it. The student had no history of homophobic behavior, either. 3) What seems more likely to you- a person hitting on someone (very common with hormonal young adults, lets be honest), OR someone risking their entire future just to be petty and write "gays should die" on a computer for no freaking reason, when you don't even have beef with the kid? I think anybody with a BRAIN can tell you that on bullet point #2, the gay kid's story seems extremely unlikely. Everybody KNOWS that colleges have witch hunts against straight white males. Everybody KNOWS males in general get screwed on college campuses, regardless of race, tbh. Everybody KNOWS attacking a gay kid instantly gets you in serious trouble. EVERYONE KNOWS THIS! Like DON'T FLATTER YOURSELF, U OF TEXAS, THERE'S NO FREAKING WAY A KID WOULD KNOWINGLY THROW HIS ENTIRE FUTURE AWAY JUST TO WRITE "GAYS SHOULD DIE" ON A COMPUTER! NOBODY WOULD FREAKING DO THAT AT A COLLEGE! And if you actually believed the gay kid, truly believed him, then WHY DID YOU FORBID THE ACCUSED STUDENT (THE STRAIGHT ONE) FROM EVEN COLLECTING WITNESSES OR WITNESS STATEMENTS? HUH? WHY? WHY? TELL ME! WHY DID YOU PREVENT THAT STUDENT FROM DEFENDING HIMSELF? IF YOU BELIEVE THE GAY KID WAS TELLING THE TRUTH, THEN WHY WERE YOU SO ADAMANTLY OPPOSED TO ALLOWING THE ACCUSED HIS DUE PROCESS! IF YOU BELIEVED HE WAS GUILTY, THEN SHOULDN'T THE ACTUAL *FACTS* SHOW THAT? HUH? NOW WE HAVE AN INNOCENT STUDENT WHO IS FREAKING DEAD THANKS TO YOUR EVIL AND NEGLIGENT ACTIONS! I blame either this college, OR I blame Heather Snow. FIRE HEATHER SNOW, and APOLOGIZE PUBLICLY FOR THIS INCIDENT, and explain how SADDENED you are that you let this happen on your campus- and then this review will get changed to a 5 star.
