Great "get some lunch" place. The food is delicious. Those chips..the bomb! The atmosphere is great. Had the Mafia sandwich and the Pasta Salad...absolutely perfect! That sandwich,  though...the taste...wow...just Wow!Food: 5/5

What a great, quaint & cozy place that has a wonderful atmosphere and serves amazing sandwiches! Service was friendly and fast, great craft cocktails, "Manhattan" pictured. Highly recommend the Monte Cristo, How Nice Blue Cow, and the Beer Queso Dip!  Their house made kettle chips are amazing!  If you're close to Topeka, Kansas, make a stop! Located in historic old downtown!

One of my favorite local hot spots! Stopped in again for a business lunch meeting and was impressed as always. I love their chips and a gluten free dairy free Tree Huggar is my go to every time I go. Excellent service when the office has a large order carry out and they are always overly accommodating. This is small business at its finest! Was in town for a few days and was recommended by a friend to check this place out. The food & service was great and they had a wonderful selection of whiskeys and cocktails. The only thing I can’t understand is why they’re still using single-use paper plates/bowls. It really cheapens the experience.Food: 5/5

GREAT TASTING VEGAN FOODS! This is my first time at The Wheel Barrel and it DID NOT disappoint! We had the Ratatouille,  Mediterranean  pasta salad, and tree hugger sandwiches. They were very flavorful,  filling, and very much worth the visit. Our food was freshly prepared and we received it that way. The bartender was attentive and pleasant taking my order and updating me on when it would be ready to go. We will be back!

We ate there two nights ago. The grilled cheese sandwiches were good but the disappointment came when the chips that came with the hangover were literally the crumbs at the bottom of the bag. You would need a spoon to eat it. The other disappointment was the bartender. Not once did he notice my drink was empty before my meal was served but seems to talk to one person at the bar while ignoring the rest. The atmosphere is cool and a great place to grab a bit.

Great food for this mom of a very picky celiac! Her and her also picky sisters all found something they enjoyed on the menu! We will most definitely be making this a regular stop for our family!  Dietary restrictions: Gluten free bread!

Most of the time everything is really good, most recently however we went and we expected a grilled popper sandwich, but received a toasted sandwich instead. Kinda disappointing. It also was way more spicy than normally prepared.  Vegetarian options: Most sandwiches have a vegan option

Wonderful sandwiches!   Just amazing.  I had the Tree Hugger today with pasta salad.  All wonderful.  I can't say enough good things about this place for all the times I've been here.  A true Topeka treasure.
