About

Enjoy the indulgent pleasures of coffee and ice cream! Featuring Josh and John's ice cream and Barista Espresso. Here to satisfy your sweet tooth!

Story

Cascade’s newest local hangout is now offering picnic baskets to-go. Enjoy gourmet treats while sitting along our creek or at your favorite trail-side spot. Cool down with some ice cream in our shop. White marble floors and coordinating white marble tables set the stage to satisfy all of your sugary cravings. Former “salt” and “sugar” closets further abate any of your lingering needs. The cooler is filled with various fruits, waters, and sodas, and the pastry counter is home to numerous muffins, croissants, cookies, and pastries, which change daily. Our gourmet hand packed ice cream is made from natural ingredients, with flavors ranging from Mocha Java Jolt (good to go in an Espresso for the real wake up), to Lemon Cake with sprinkles, while the smell of fresh made waffle cones lingers in the air. Breakfast burritos and yummy quiches will be rotated throughout the week. Bring in your Wall Street Journal and relax!

Going on a hike, picnic or skiing? Stop in and grab a bottle of wine and goodies to go. Call us at 719.684.8000, 24 hours in advance preferred, and we will prepare a “gourmet picnic basket to go.”

My brother and wife flew to visit my wife and I from Roseburg, Oregon for a few days. Being wine enthusiasts (like us), we decided to do a formal wine tasting at the Winery at Pikes Peak. We'd visited once before a couple of years ago (using a group on voucher) and really enjoyed the meat and cheese platter and wine samples at our little table. So we knew what to expect. At least we THOUGHT we did. There was only one customer, but after several minutes of being ignored by the woman behind the counter, I nicely informed her we were going to sit, order a couple of platters, and sample the wines. "You'll have to stand at the counter to sample the wines," The woman told me curtly. When I expressed surprise at the four of us having to stand with our cheese and meat platters to sip samples of wine, telling her the last time we were here we sat at a table, her response was, "Then you weren't here." The four of us just looked at each other, a bit dumfounded by her rude (and inaccurate) statement. I told her that we definitely WERE there and we definitely DID have wine tasting seated at a table. "Well, maybe you did if you used a group-on," She said without bothering to look at me. "But now you have to stand." As a family of successful business owners, we looked at each other and wondered in whispered tones how this winery could stay in business with such a poor representative. We later discovered that she is the wife of the owner the Wines of Colorado, just across the street. He manages the Wines of Colorado and she manages and operates The Winery at Pikes Peak. We were thinking she either really dislikes her job, had a horrible fight with her husband that morning, or is simply bereft of any kind of positive customer service. It took us 15 seconds to decide to walk out and go elsewhere. As we opened the door to leave, she asked, "Decide not to do wine tasting?" I told her we'd decided to leave because of her attitude. We left and will NEVER return.

This place looks so cute and inviting from the outside, but I can tell you that ended pretty quickly when met by the lovely woman working the front desk. We stopped for the ice cream. They have literally 3 flavors and although it wasn't bad, the rude service we received with it would put a bad taste in your mouth. Don't waste your time or money here.

Drove a long way, vehicle overheated and we nicely asked if we could get some water to cool down the vehicle. What we received was pure attitude and stated she couldn't as the spigot was locked. While it was cooling down asked if we could get a burger there and the reply was no, (pointing)go across the street. This rude lady should not be in any proximity of the public.
