The Women's Centre was the first place I'd been in years that I felt really understood my struggles with endometriosis. They were so compassionate when I was in pain and emotionally exhausted from dealing with the disease. Dr. Delumba performed my surgery and I now no longer live in constant pain. Their staff has also been tremendously helpful when we switched from a regular insurance plan to a health sharing plan. They've gone out of their way to fight my insurance company when my insurance didn't want to pay for things because they felt my surgery was "unnecessary" . Their staff is also very knowledgable about procedures and treatments, and answer any questions I've had. I know see Amy Dean every 6 months, and she makes every appointment relaxing and painless.

I had a bad experience with scheduling. I called to make an appointment for new patient on Tuesday 8/8/17. Scheduling gave me an appt for Monday 8/14/17 at 11:30 am. I arrive on time for my appt on Monday 8/14 and they tell me I missed my appt. Turns out they put my appt for Monday 8/7/17. Now how in the world could that be when I didnt even call to make the appt until Tuesday the 8th. They didnt even apologize to me or even offer to squeez me in for there mistake. I will not be going back. Very poor customer service

Aimee is a wonderful nurse practitioner. I feel very comfortable and confident in her care. She took a delicate situation and gave it the consideration it deserved. They are out of network but that doesn't matter, I still went there. I wish they would be in my network it makes for easier care since she knows all about my needs.

I had a very negative experience at The Women's Center dating back to Nov. 2014. I was fairly new to the area and experienced an emergency gynecological situation, and the Women's Center was the only place in the area that I could get into immediately. Now admittedly, I am a heavy set woman, but I was really shocked when Dr. Mantri told me he couldn't do a pelvic exam because I was too heavy. I have had plenty of pelvic exams prior to this and since then, even at slightly heavier weights, with no problem - even my primary care doctor's nurse practitioner can do one easily. I'm heavy, but certainly not so heavy that pelvic exams are impossible, or even that difficult. So he had me come back the next day for a sonogram. The sonogram showed quite a few follicles on my ovaries, and on the spot he diagnosed me with PCOS and was very upfront that I likely wouldn't have kids. He asked when I thought my husband and I might want to have kids, and I said "probably in about five years" and he told me I should start trying to have kids now because it was going to be a struggle. As for treatment, he told me to take birth control nonstop for six months to a year without skipping any days to have a period, which I did. I went home and cried, fearing I'd never be able to have children (he said even if I lost the weight, it would still be extremely difficult - so I felt like there was nothing I could do). Fast forward to about a year ago, I told my primary care physician's nurse practitioner about the experience and the diagnosis, and she was confused as to how he didn't think he could perform a pelvic exam on me, and alarmed to hear that they diagnosed me with PCOS without blood tests. My doctor - actually a certified family nurse practitioner - easily did my pelvic exam within minutes and said "that wasn't difficult at all." Then they did blood work and found that my tests didn't indicate PCOS; they also said that the number of follicles on the ovaries can fluctuate throughout the month, so a sonogram alone is not an adequate means to diagnose PCOS. I wanted to leave this review because I ultimately feel this is a center that cuts corners and does not do what's necessary to fully serve all patients. Luckily for me, they incorrectly diagnosed me and to this day, things seem fine (although I still worry about the incident that brought me in as it is left unexplained due to their negligence). But I worry - what happens when they cut corners and fail to diagnose someone that actually does have something? Or when they treat someone for an incorrectly-diagnosed illness? Moreover, the OBGYN is not exactly a girl's favorite pastime; so to have left that place feeling so ashamed about my weight that they couldn't do an exam just made me want to avoid the OBGYN that much more. By no means am I a "body positivity" advocate - at least not in the sense that I advocate in favor of obesity; it's unhealthy and I have and will continue to work toward a healthier lifestyle. That said, it's one thing to discuss how my weight might impact other aspects of my health and to make recommendations and such, but to tell me - inaccurately - that you cannot conduct a pelvic exam because of my weight is not just lazy - it's cruel. Every woman, regardless of size, deserves access to quality care. One positive note: Sara, the sonographer, was very kind and not at all lazy or judgmental.

I see a nurse only 3 times a year for my birth control injection and they make it the hardest process ever. They act like I've never been there before or don't have my file updated. Sometimes they make me see the main doctor for no reason and charge me $40 for the 5 minute appointment I didn't even make. They also make me take unnecessary pregnancy test and charge me for that as well. Never going back.
