The Wooden Spoon is all about the food!
Bringing you love and passion with almost everything homemade from the soups, sauces, breads, and pastries!
Owner and chef, Kayla Sebastian has grown up in Grand Forks, and cannot express how excited she is to bring in local food, and prepare amazing dishes from all around the world.
We strive to keep you wanting to come back and try the whole menu, so, The Wooden Spoon runs a seasonal menu that offers the best and the freshest ingredients around!

Loved this place!! Great atmosphere and decor.  We had breakfast and the food was awesome!  Unique dishes.  I had the cornbread slices with bacon, poached eggs and baby spinach.  It was drizzled with maple syrup.  Yum! The poached eggs were amazing!  They also serve lunch, coffee drinks and bakery items.  Go to this place,  you will not be sorry!

I would say 4.5 out of 5.
Very delicious unique dishes awesome atmosphere for a cafe and friendly staff. Would be a full 5/5 if the prices were just a tiny bit cheaper. Prices weren't high by any means just maybe a dollar more for a similar item somewhere else but for the quality makes up for it by and far. Very glad we got off the highway and stopped here instead of fast food.

I enjoy the food and the decor is neat. Very clean and is a nice environment to relax and have some breakfast or lunch! I would recommend stopping by here if you never visited. A little pricey, but worth it!

This place was amazing to eat at. They had friendly staff, there was an issue with our order and they were quick to replace it at no extra cost. They also have a full vegan menu. I would not recommend bringing picky eaters as their menu items are quite unique and creative. Overall great experience.

We attended a wedding in Grand Forks back in July 2017 so we didn't go out much to eat but when we did, I am so glad we found the Wood Spoon Bistro!  The place was very hip and decorated as such. Was there on a Friday around lunch time and the place was packed so ordering and getting our order took about 30-40 minutes but it was worth the wait! I had one of the best Bahn Mi sandwiches I've ever had in my life (it came very close to tasting like the Bahn Mi from downtown Calgary Vietnamese place I know). My husband had "the big cat" sandwich and he also loved it and I only had a bite of his and it was also delicious!
