Story

Here at Theta Wave Float Spa the main attraction is the Floatation Therapy. Basically its a large tub with 10-12 inches of water that has 1000 pounds of Epsom Salts dissolved in it. The water is heated to 93.5 degrees F, this is skin receptor neutral. Meaning that your not hot or cold, you just melt away. Great for all types of pain management, stress relief and even advanced meditation.
We also offer massage and reflexology that pairs very well with floatation therapy. In addition we are pleased to offer the Lucia #3 Light Experience that allows the "light traveler" to let go and enjoy a beautiful display of colors, sacred geometry and patterns that exist just beyond our realm of reality. A truly memorizing and psychedelic experience without the use of any potentially harmful substances. Perfect for those with anxiety or depression.
Reiki, sound healing, guided meditation you will also find here. This is a place of healing and tranquility. We provide an environment that promotes health, well being and self-preservation. We have a well trained staff that is very easy to communicate with any special needs or concerns you may have.

Great relaxing and inviting atmosphere. Perfect for ones first float experience! Loved that there was a relax/tea room post float too. Facility was clean and very well maintained - parking was easy too!

I tried this place from a Groupon for a 60 minute float session. It's an understated spa, they're using what was probably an office space just off Sebastopol's main drag. The experience of the float spa was extremely soothing, you lose track of time and, in my case, it is extremely relaxing to have not a care in the world for an hour. They have music and lights in their pods if you don't want to dive right in to complete darkness and solitude. Their staff are very friendly and their prices seem very reasonable for the area. I plan on going back for another treatment in a few months.

All around excellent experience, though initially there was a glitch. I rescheduled my appointment to 2 weeks later, when I feared my monthly visitor would coincide with my float - for which I was thanked by the owner for being so proactive. When I arrived Friday evening for my 6pm float, to be very slowly informed by an employee, that I wasn't on the schedule somehow. I had had an extremely stressful day; so I could have lost it on him. But I had already passed through a white hot waterfall of stress that day; so I took it in stride and went home, after booking a new appointment Saturday morning. I wasn't even going to bring up the snafu, but it seemed like there was about to be another. So I explained the situation - to it turns out - the owner. He was not happy to hear that "I had been shut down" after a long and stressful day, He was very nice and apologized. He explained everything thoroughly; and I really enjoyed my first float.
When I was in the meditation room after my float, Andrew (the owner) ducked his head in, checked on how I was, and told me that he wasn't going to charge me for it - that I could use my Living Social # for a second appointment. I feel this was the right thing to do. I have booked my second appointment; and fully intend to take advantage of their membership deal. Any business can experience a software glitch, or miss something; it's how that business recovers from such occurrences that really shows you who they are. I could have stormed home Friday night and gotten a refund on my certificate; but the way they dealt with the issue, has made it so that I will be a returning customer.
P.S. These folks are some of the most relaxed people you will ever meet. Not only are they Sebastopudlians, but I'm thinking they make good use of their own float and light treatments, and that takes their relaxation to the next level. I was so relaxed after my 60 minute float, that I almost spilled hot tea on myself, because I wasn't supporting the weight of the cup enough with my hand. I was floppy relaxed. It was a huge much needed stress relief; and I can't wait for my next session.

This was such an amazing and unique experience--I loved it. It felt like I was in a womb, being protected and lovingly observed while I floated through space. I felt like I could attain a lot of knowledge and information from floating, as well as deep relaxation benefits. I felt like I was being held in a warm, relaxing embrace hours after my experience. Really amazing. And a day later, I still feel great! :)

I feel like the owner is a really good person with great intentions. I will be coming back. :)

Floating is healing for the mind and body.   This float spa provides for the perfect float experience all the way from the super cool owner Andrew to the chill ambiance, to the highest quality tanks they use, to the relaxing tea room afterwards!   I can recommend Theta Wave high enough!
