After seeing Dr. Pyritz, something didn't sit right with me. He told me I had Periodontal Disease that was in the first stage. He suggested I come back and have them scale my teeth and do some other invasive procedures. Turns out, I don't have Periodontal Disease nor do I need all the treatments he was suggesting. I decided to call my dentist back home and get a second opinion. 

My dentist re-xrayed my teeth, did a full exam, and found nothing wrong with me. Other than a small cavity, I had my teeth cleaned and I was on my way. I'm borderline furious because of what I was told originally. It caused a great deal of anxiety for me for absolutely no reason at all. In addition, he told me my two impacted wisdom teeth were fine where they were. My Dentist let me know today that they have to come out as soon as I can have it done. I can't imagine what I would be feeling right now had I let him do the procedure on me for Periodontal disease. I'd probably be in a lot of pain and broke.

he scared my 8yo when he scratched the roof of her mouth and she was crying. Her youngest sister saw this And wouldn't allow him to touch her mouth. Because of this he refused to see my children.  He threw his things down and walked out when my 5 yo turned her head. If he has an issue with children he probably shouldn't work with them. He is RUDE. His staff is nice though.  I feel sorry that they have to work with him.

After wearing braces for 5 years as a teen and a lot of horrible dental experiences, I was terrified by the idea of finding another dentist. I chose a popular local dentist in Navarre who ended up completely ignoring post-extraction complications, which led to massive infection and even worse problems. I was truly scarred and probably never would have gone to a dentist again had I not had the pleasure of being a patient of Dr. Pyritz's. He is patient, kind, compassionate, and he loves his job. He loves helping people and his attitude about helping others is reflected through his work. The ENTIRE office staff is absolutely AMAZING. If you have dental anxiety or are just looking for a new dentist you HAVE to give them a call. I cannot even put into words how much Dr. Pyritz and his crew have done for me and will be forever grateful that they took on my case after the other dentist completely dropped the ball. I will not be switching dentists until the day those doors close and highly recommend them to anyone.
