great school, amazing campus, and quality education is what PhilaU has to offer. people who have rated this school are being too harsh to this great institution. so many amazing opportunities. People who are angry are more likely to comment about their negative experience and I have had only amazing experiences. this campus has a beautiful campus and does have name recognition around the world. I had denied many amazing schools like Pitt and don't regret it. I have met many people who have success stories graduating from this school which make me know picking this school was the right choice. Thomas Jefferson university is combining with the school and only going to make it bigger, better, and become an even more recognizable. P.S. nobody calls it PU.

Nice campus, but the school is failing in everything else. Philadelphia University is known as PU because everything stinks!! Philadelphia University is NOT popular in Philadelphia. For example, if you tell a teenager or older adult (that lives outside NW Philly) that you are thinking about attending Philadelphia University. They will respond "which university in Philadelphia are you referring to" or " I never heard of that school". Most people see this school in a bad light. They are known for their art programs like fashion and design (a reason why some employers look down on PU students and alumni). THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO GO IF YOU WANT TO MAJOR IN SOMETHING OUTSIDE OF DESIGNING WEDDING DRESSES AND CLOTHES. My daughter didn't choose this school because most of the programs at PU are weak. The descriptions for their majors are misleading and they lie about their success rate to attract students. Thomas Jefferson University has plans of taking control over this failing institution (PU can't stand on its own feet). Hopefully Jefferson will bring life to it.

Had two kids go through PU. Daughter is in her last year in 2017. Daughter had her car stolen while running on Kelley Dr. ( thief was released due to a clerical error) This year she was held up at gunpoint (loaded)with two other students outside Falls residence.Next day my son who now lives in Philly was almost mugged in broad daylight , he pulled a knife and the thief ran away . Police were nearby and said he did the right thing.Philly DA told me that the courts are "defense friendly" Sent 3 letters ( about more security or a liason w/ local police) to various people at the school about my daughter being held up and have heard nothing . They took our money fast enough though. Send your kids at your own peril .

Philadelphia University no longer exists. It was bought out by Thomas Jefferson University.

A great, city institution that is located in East falls, Philadelphia. The neighborhood itself is more like a suburb, but the campus is situated about 15 minutes from Center City from car or a 15 minute walk to historic Kelly drive.
