Story

Thompson Homes, Inc., has been designing and building around Northeastern Wisconsin for the last 30 years. Our commitment to excellence was recognized in 2005 when we received the Governor’s award for Custom Builder of the Year for Wisconsin.


Our Mission as a company is to provide the best of what technology has to offer and to build your project the same way we would our own. We are a partner with Focus on Energy's New Homes Program, which promotes quality, energy efficiency, comfort, combustion safety and durability. We are also a fore runner in the designing and building of universally accessible projects.

Design starts with Paige Van Elzen, who carries a bachelor’s degree in interior and architectural design along with over 20 years of experience. Inside and out, you can be guaranteed the design will meet your expectations. Expertly bringing your project together is Joe Van Elzen. Joe has over 10 years of building experience along with a scrutinizing attention to detail in all areas of construction.

Working to bring your creations to reality is our highly talented and skilled group of craftspeople. Our relationships extend more than 25 years with many of them, offering you quality, consistency and experience in all our projects.

The Van Elzens are proud parents of three active children. Joe and Paige are both involved in their community and church. Their belief is their Boss was once a Jewish Carpenter.
