I use this business all the time! The service you get is very personable and detailed and all the cars I have rented (8 or 9 of them now!) have been excellent! Ed always goes out of his way to find me the best deal and the best car for my needs and I have used the UHauls on three moves- they are affordable and have always worked great. It is a simple process to pop in and check one out. I love small businesses that have reliable great service and quality products and this is one of them!

We rented a car for three weeks. The first car (PT Cruiser= worst car in history) had stains all over the seat and low tire pressure light going off. We exchanged it the next day for a spectra that was not clean ("Our powerwasher was broken, so I couldn't wash it" was the dude's response, but there's a car wash right down the street). Also, it was banged up to hell and back & they didn't even fill up the tank. Whatever we drove off into the sunset, only to get a flat tire today. 
Did you know that Thrifty can only exchange the car? They don't send someone to bring you a new tire? We were in Western MA when the tire gave out, and now we have to drive all the way to Boston on a donut. Great job, Thrifty, at sucking majorly. I will NEVER use this company again. It's worth the extra $180 to rent from the Boston airport so that you don't have to deal with these people and their crappy cars.

The car we rented is a piece of junk. When we picked up the car, they had only one full size left and we had to leave on time so picked up that car. It was a nightmare. The car was dirty inside and so worn that no grooves on the tires. The car was shaking on highway. Then we drove close to another Thrifty site and called them, they told us they are not in Thrifty network. If we wanted to changed to another car, we had to drive back to their site and pick up a smaller car. We drove at night once and it was raining we found the window shield wipers didn't work. I felt we were risking our lives by renting this car. 
When we came back, I found I was over charged me on 3 items. She said I signed the contract. But the day I picked up the car, she told me the printer didn't work so she didn't show me the contract and just let me sign the contract. I assumed the charge is the same amount when I booked online and signed it. One over charge is additional driver fee. I told her we were married, but she still charged this fee. I found this when I picked up the receipt she said because we had different last names. They charged me liability insurance but I had liability insurance already. When I found this extra charge, they said MA laws require the liability insurance. I told her my company paid me this liability insurance already. They refused to refund me this charge. They don't fill up the tank full when you pick up the car. They fill it up to half tank. So when you return, it's not easy to fill up exactly in the middle. They told me when I returned the car the fuel is a bit lower than the middle line so I was charged fuel fee (about 1 gallon) at $5.99/gallon. Filling up the tank in the middle? This is a trap. 
Be aware of this car rental company.
