Was told when I arrived that I would have to park on the street a half block away because I didn't "reserve" a parking space. It was raining when we arrived at about 8:30pm and there was nowhere to unload out of the rain. Bathroom had red and black mold growing around the tub (see pics). After being in the room approx. 15 mins we heard water hitting the floor in the bathroom, it was a steady stream of water pouring from light fixture overhead (see pics). Was told there were no other rooms and that the manager would be there at 11pm if we wanted to talk with her. Went to dinner and came back to see the manager at 11pm and they now had a replacement room. Replacement room had footprints or some kind of stains all over the bed (see pics). At that point we were exhausted and fed-up with the whole situation. We asked for a refund since they couldn't give us a suitable place to stay and ventured out into the night at nearly 12am with nowhere to stay looking for another hotel with vacancy. I would have rather slept in my car than stay in this place. This was not the quality I expected for what we were paying per night, at best this is a $50-$60 per night motel. Beware, this place has a great marketing strategy with their pics and vivid descriptions on both their website and at booking sites. Read any and all of their negative reviews before making a decision to stay here.

Got an email from the Thunderbird Inn saying my September reservation was cancelled and they were sorry. Called the hotel and was told the same thing, no options for alternative hotels or any advice. So I and my friend cancelled our trips at $200 expense each (after making sure there was no hotel in the historic district we could get at a decent rate on such short notice). A week later I get a call from Crystal telling me that we had been moved to another hotel. I was stunned and explained the email and previous call with the Thunderbird Inn and Crystal just said "I am so sorry, I am going to have a manager call you back about this tomorrow". Tomorrow was 5 days ago. I am so disappointed in the Thunderbird Inn's response to this that when I do re-book, I will probably (and sadly) have to find a different hotel.

This is a cute little hotel on the northwest side of the historic district. Everything is adorable. The staff is super helpful. Dog-friendly! Plus affordable! The only reason I haven't given 5 stars are basic amenities. The room we stayed in didn't have a closet/clothes pole/coat rack/hangers of any type. We cane for a wedding and had things to hang, so we had to use light fixtures and the shower rod to hang things up. We had very poor water pressure as well. The blinds are super cute and authentic to the theme, but couldn't keep light out.

I think this is the best hotel I've been to so far in Savannah. Whoever said that the cleanliness of the rooms can improve could never be more wrong. The bathroom floors were so clean I could literally eat off them. It was a wonderful and exciting experience for me. I got comfort with a little historical touch. The staff were the best attitude having people I've met in my life. If I was to recommend the best hotel this one would be #1 on my list.

We stayed here for two nights, and it was an agitating stay. Here's the breakdown: Positives: 1) Friendly staff who are eager to help 2) Great location; you can walk to everything 3) Nice beds 4) Doughnuts and coffee were awesome each morning Negatives: 1) After driving 14 hrs, we had to unpack the car in the middle of the parking lot because the space I pre-paid for when I booked was taken by someone else. I waited over 30 minutes in my car for a guy to come back from downtown and remove his vehicle. 2) The bathroom is very tiny, and if you open the door all the way when exiting the bathroom (you have to do so because of the limited space), the door locks. We had to bust open a pen to slid into the keyhole of the bathroom door at least 10 times during our stay. Not fun at 4 am. 3) The shampoo and whatnot is mounted to the wall in the shower, and it cannot be removed. I skinned my elbow each time I showered to the point of having to purchase a first aid kit. 4) Half of the lights didn't work in the room. 5) The toilet clogged multiple times. 6) No hand soap given for the sink. 7) The AC was stuck on 75
