Cheese Lovers: Welcome to paradise!

We invite you to join the nearly one million fans who visit our Cheese Factory in Tillamook, Oregon, each year. Find out how Tillamook Cheese is made and get answers to your cheesiest questions, like "How did they get these curds so darn squeaky?"

Ever wonder what makes cheddar sharp versus extra sharp? Or how much milk a cow produces? What about how ice cream is made? You’ll find answers to these questions and more on your self-guided Factory tour, with interactive kiosks, viewing windows, videos and lots of fun stops along the way.

You’ll have a bird’s-eye view of our cheesemaking and packaging teams in action, churning out 167,000 pounds of Tillamook Cheese each and every day. And of course the tour wouldn’t be complete without sampling some of that cheese. Have you tried our Pepper Jack? How about our Garlic White Cheddar?

If the Factory tour only whets your appetite, stop by the ice cream counter, Farmhouse Café or the fudge counter and we’ll show you why Tillamook tastes even better when you’re surrounded by the friendly folks who make our dairy products.

MY FAVORITE PLACE! The cheese is so much better than regular cheese, it's worth the extra price! Their ice cream is the best you will ever have. I talk about this place all the time. People get annoyed of me until they experience it for themselves and will never eat store brand cheese again! Unfortunately they ruined ice cream for me too because nothing compares to theirs. Their tours are great and even though they are closed right bow they have an exceptional temporary visitor center that offers cheese sampling and ice cream and then their gift shop. Very cool place and I can't wait to go back when the renovations are finished!

Amazing tourist destination. The temporary visitors center (main is under construction) is designed to not feel awkward going alone, while encourages families with young children with its fun exhibits and wide floor plan. The cafe is fine, but where its really at is the ice cream station. Service is fast, keeping up well when busy and remains appropriately staffed when not. The flavours are great, and the selection is unreal and rivals that of the grocery store freezers.

I've loved this place since I was little. When Joe and I visited they were under construction but still well run. The squeaky cheese has always been one if my favorite snacks. Highly recommend going there.

This place is a free self-guided tour which will take you no more than an hour to walk around. You get to see the process of cheese making and get to try a bunch of cheese samples, for a small town this factory sees a lot of tourist, while we were there this place was cramped with people, sufficient parking. Definitely worth a stopover if crossing by town and make sure to try out there ice cream before exit, one of the best ice creams I have tried in a while and really reasonably priced cheese for people who are interested in buying it compared to buying it from your local store.

Tillamook is one of my favorite cheeses. The last time I went they were rebuilding the main tourist area and so they were serving ice cream and cheese is in a temporary area but it was still nice I think this is another example of a well-run company who understands it quality and service or more important than price. And now I find that they also sell delicious sour cream ice cream butter and other dairy products. Go Tillamook
