Staff are uncaring and rude and they will go out of the way to may you and your child's days there horrible. Do not send your children to this school.

Student showed up on the first day at Timberlane and was not allowed to attend because the school staff lost the registration papers and info has not been put in the computer system, even though the parent had a receipt. New papers were turned in the very next morning it still took near a week before child could attend classes. No apology was made or explantion given as to why the child was made to wait. No reassurance from staff that child would not lose credit for days missed. This also happened to at least one other family. I do not know what the outcome was in their case. violation of student HIPPA and beratement of student by a teacher with no explanation or apology. Principle refused to signature a copy (that it was received) of a letter submitted to the school and so did a staff member from a different department within the FCCPS. This is a TITLE 1 school and yet I have met some families who removed their children in the past few years for various reasons that relate directly to the school. Hmmmmm....... makes one think why. Generally staff is friendly and tries to be helpful. Cannot speak to General education of students or teaching staff. For students with any specific needs, I reccomend seeking a school outside of FCCPS Area 2 region altogether. "Generally" the reason is because the parents really have no say here. Their own reccomendations have been the only ones considered here. The parent is NOt considered part of child educational team. Too many examples to cite here. I can say that when simple requests are consistantly denied and you here things like" bring it to the meeting and if The team agrees", speaks volumes. I personally did not expect this in the begining of the the school year.
