Loved this place, super nice folks. Clean cabin style room. Gas fireplace was charming. Right on the main road so there is some traffic noise. Wish we could stay longer. Love this area.

Awesome rooms, very clean, the staff is great.   Location is nice, close to food, the lake, and not far from Calaveras Big Trees State Park (Home of the Giant Sequoia's).  A must stay if you can.

Room was cozy. Bed was comfy. Shower was pleasant and didnt have a hot water supply issue. A very pleasant stay.

The place is clean, but a bit rugged, which is what one should expect for a small mountain town. The price was a bit high, there was only one room left in the area, can't complain for last min booking. If your looking for luxury, this is not the place. The heater in the room works well and the ice machine is the lady at the front desk handing you a solid piece of ice in a zip lock. The town closes early , except a Chevron with just about everything except sushi. The little town hardware store across the street is amazing and the trail through the grove of giants close by is a spiritual walk one won't forget.
