I was recently assigned Dr. Timothy McGuire as my new PCP as part of BCBS.  I called to schedule an appointment in order to receive a referral for a specialist.  After asking several questions about the referral process and immediately before I was going to schedule my appointment, the receptionist abruptly "wished me luck" trying to schedule an appointment and terminated the call.  I immediately called back and was connected to a second receptionist.  She started by asking if I was the "new patient" that had just called and, after informing her I was, she simply stated Dr. McGuire was not accepting any new patients.  

I cannot speak to the competency of Dr. McGuire as a medical practitioner, but the reception staff was completely unsympathetic and incredibly rude during my brief interaction with them.  Both receptionists gave the impression of an unprofessional and uncaring staff.

I came as a new patient to this Dr. and was seen by Cynthia Armstrong... and this place is amazing! Never before have I been treated with so much respect and humility at a doctor's office.

I won't go into great detail, but the office staff saved my life. Dr. Sanborn is the best. Very good people.
