This is my favorite park, it has 4 different area that feel like you are in different parks. My favorite parts are the marsh/swamp and the area just beyond it that is like a forest with well spaced out trees. In this area there are an amazing set of fairy houses to find along the path.

The Tinker Trail was very fairytale-like! Kid friendly! Stroller friendly as well. The trail was so unique and all of the fairy houses were well built and all different from one another! They have two parking lots and a bathroom in the building there. There is a park/ pavilion and field on one side of the building. Great place to enjoy a packed lunch.

Great nature trails and wildlife pavilion. People in the pavilion/lodge were very informational and provided a very educational experience. And the Fairy Houses were an added bonus!

It is great place to visit with your family and friends to experience nature, learn about how bees make honey. There's a historic home there nearby with several guides who explain interesting details on family that lived there from 1830. It turned out to be a wonderful experience.

I love going here! To get to the infamous fairy houses from Calkins road parking lot: walk down the paved path, take the first paved/gravel trail you see to your right. From there you'll see a split, take a left. You're going to walk through thinking "am I there yet?" "I'm worried I'm lost" but don't fret, continue on! Remember to look down as they are scattered around. After you cross the bridge, there's a few more houses until you reach the playground. 🙂 Enjoy yourself! Don't forget to take pictures!
