The food was good. We didn't have anything that was amazingly good, just average. Not saying it was bad but for me I can get similar closer to me.  Our waitress was really nice and attentive. Checked up on us several times and went to check on our food a couple of times. It took a little longer to come out compared to other similar places.  Nice atmosphere. The place is not too loud which I prefer. I don't like not being able to be heard across the table. It's a little too dark in there for my liking though. It's like eating in candlelight. A lot of people like that but me not so much.  I wouldn't go out of my way to come here but if I'm in the area I'd go again.

The girls and I got together for Taco Tuesdays and met here around 6:30pm. When I arrived I parked in the large plaza parking lot. I walked in and was greeted by the hostess. Oliver was our waiter and he was great. He was very attentive and kind. I started with an original margarita and it was good. I then wanted to go with the sangria but it was pre-made so I didn't really like it. I stuck with the margarita.  For entrées I got the veggie fajitas and while it was good they had way too much onions so needless to say I didn't eat that much, I only ate the other vegetables. The girls got different items and they all really liked their dishes. At the end of the evening Oliver brought out an ice cream happy birthday dessert which was so kind. The bill for me was about $35. I enjoyed my time.

I heard about this place from a coworker of mine and he gave it two thumbs up so I had to try it. I had chicken fajitas with yellow rice and black beans with lettuce shredded cheese and pico de gallo and guacamole. My daughter had the burrito bowl it looked so dam delicious. My chicken fajitas came out sizzling and it smelled wonderful. The food was seasoned well. I must say they did a really good job on the food . I was so full but still had to order rum banana cheesecake omg that was heaven. I found my Friday nights hang out spot. I will be back for more soon. That's why I gave this hot spot a five star.

First time going the place was really nice and clean. I wasn’t sure what to order but I got a burrito bowl it was really good had flavor. the pork was amazing and was crunchy with fat. I got dessert for takeout  I will go again.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: Yes

2/4/23 Waitress was great, and friendly, No complaints regarding that. Atmosphere was loud and upbeat. Unfortunately, the food was blah! We had Flautas cold in the middle , Steak fries were probably the best. Hubby paid $150.00 for 2 coco-locos  not much alcohol a bit watery for my taste 4 tacos $7 ea corn tortilla was a bit weird and hard to swallow just a strange taste. Coconut shrimp  Plato grande $23  Pre frozen taste on the shrimp, best thing on that plate were the black beans. Chicken quesadilla $13 was just a quesadilla! 3 soft drinks and a tres leche cake was good I believe it was overpriced, the taste of the food was nothing out of this world. I ended up feeling completely bloated  didn’t even finish the food around 2 am, I woke up to a painful stomach , very nauseous and threw up until I had nothing else in my stomach. My hubbys stomach was also upset with the feeling of being bloated. We highly doubt stepping foot there again, it was a huge disappointment!

Great addition to this area. On top of their great specials, the setup is really unique and put together very nicely. Loaded shrimp nachos were great and didn’t have an overbearing/drowning effect that most nachos leave.Dine in: YesTakeout: Yes

I've been to Tio twice now -- and both times the drinks, food and service were excellent.  Both the food and drinks are interesting, well executed and a lot of flavor.  The place looks great also!  There's really not a lot to say other than it's definitely worth coming here for lunch or dinner

I decided to order lunch. I walked in and was greeted by this lovely kind manager guy at the front desk. I did not look my best due to the fact, I work from home and it's cold outside today. He treated me like a millions bucks. What a lovely man. Sometime people treat people a certain way by the way they are dressed. Anyways. I ordered there salsa chicken taco. OmG these tacos were amazing!! There Flauntas were crispy and delicious! I loved your sauces. You won't be disappointed. I will be returning to try other dishes. Loved Tio Taco!!

I ordered the steak fajita’s the steak was so tough I couldn’t chew it as well as their bulldog margarita was smaller than the corona! Also the salsa is a weird soup without any existence of tomato!  See photo …

This was the best Mexican food I’ve had in NJ. The tortillas were corn, but still soft which is not easy to do. The margaritas were delicious and even the fried ice cream was unreal.   The manager also came by and he was really nice :. Service was great.  Super clean.  Nice lighting.  Good vibe.  We will be back!
