I called to have Todd's come out for a quote on a patio for a newly built home. Tom came out and suggested a plan including a deck, stamped patio and extensive landscaping about 15k worth of work. When I asked if he could please provide me with a quote just for the stamped concrete patio, he said he would go back to the office and provide a detailed quote. Never heard back from Tom. It's apparent that they oversell and are not interested in working within your budget. Signed a contract with another local company.

Was very excited to hire Todd's Services Landscaping, Hamburg, MI. Read several reviews which were mostly glowing. Had heard that they were pricey but that the level of professionalism and quality would be worth it!! Got a quote for $12,500 for the perennials and small amount of stamped concrete on the porch and walkway (displayed in photo). I felt as if I was being gouged but still felt the quality and professionalism would be worth it. The difficulty came when I inquired about the date of completion. I was told by salesman Matt that the work would be started on Monday. Monday came the crew showed up, worked for an hour and did not return on Tuesday. I inquired with Matt the salesman. Multiple excuses as to why things did not progress as anticipated. Okay. Some things are not in the control of the company. But when Matt replied that the company does million dollar projects. I hope this did not imply that my business was not appreciated. So I called the company spoke with the Sales Manager (mark i believe) who states they have 800 customers per year... and he'd have to call back after looking into it. Sales manager and Doug (general manager) phoned back. After a brief explanation of my concerns, Doug states that they have 700 customers per year and so on. After a bit of back and forth I decided that my business was not needed by Todd's. Doug wished me "good luck in getting your work done by 12 weeks" and agreed to return my deposit. From the photos Todd's does good work. Perhaps they just are not interested in small jobs. On the brighter side they are returning my full deposit. I notice Todd's Services Landscaping has responded. I'd have to say again Todd's started the work as mentioned in the post. The crew worked an hour or so. Did not return the next day. Neither did they call. I had no timeline just didn't wish to have the "bait and switch" played on me as mentioned in previous reviews. Todd's will do and say what is necessary to gain your confidence and your coins $$$$. Perhaps they are not interested in small jobs as was told to me my the salesman matt, mark the sales manager and Doug the general manager. To this regard, Todd's own website speaks for itself. They are not interested in my $12,500 for flowers and small walkway. Check it out. My concern for writing the review was not to dissuade customers from hiring Todd's as I'm sure they do great work. Be forewarned and ready to play "catch the contractor".

Todd's Services just completed our landscape project, and we were extremely happy with the level of craftsmanship and professionalism that was displayed by our sales rep (Lee Carlson), project manager (Frank), and crew that worked on our project. Our landscaping looks great and we have received multiple compliments from passersby and would strongly recommend them for your next project. My wife and I are a bit demanding and tough on contractors, and we would strongly recommend Lee and ask for him again in our phase II project. He worked with us from concept to completion, and was with us when big milestone moments were happening in our project to ensure that it met our standards and that we were satisfied before moving on in the project. We have nothing but great things to say.

I had a large area of my backyard that required sodding and I called in Todd's Services to do the job. Chris O'Dell met with me and provided me with a job description and quote. When it was time to do the sodding, Craig, the Foreman on my job, and Tyler and Mitch were the guys who made my yard come back together. They were easy to work with and pleasant and did a great job not only in laying the sod but in going out of their way to be careful with the balance of my yard in transporting the sod to the area where it was to be put down. They worked as a team and barely stopped for a drink or lunch to see the job through. I would highly recommend them as part of Todd's Services to get the job done well and in a timely manner.

I had an issue with 2 zones of my irrigation system not coming on. Todd's sent Mike out for the service call. Mike is absolutely excellent. He was able to pinpoint the problem, diagnose what needed to be done to fix it and had the repair done in about an hour. There is no way I could have done this myself. I will recommend Todd's to anyone who needs this kind of repair. Hopefully I won't have to soon but I will always call Todd's and ask for Mike again. Thanks a million Mike!
