This was DAMN good & the young lady who took my call in order & rang me up when I picked up my order couldn’t be any sweeter. I wish I had tried this place a lot sooner instead of wasting my time at many other places around here. You’ve got to try. Shrimp fried rice & gyoza. Idk what that orange thicker sauce it but it’s soooo good I put it on my rice after I ate all my gyoza. I think I inhaled my food & didn’t stop till it was gone it was so good. Slept well last night. I’ll be back before leaving. Thank you so much.
This was a fun little restaurant with friendly staff and good food. It was very clean and not so crowded. I would recommend coming here with some friends and doing the Korean bbq. You get to cook that at your table and it's a lot of fun. My only real complaint is the parking is a bit tight for my liking. I would eat here again.Food: 5/5
Amazing food and service! A great place for take out or a nice sit down spot.
This place was ATROCIOUS!! Went out with my best friend, and received the worst sushi. The rice was sticky, wet, watery, and overall, inedible. We waited to talk to a waitress and told her politely that we couldn’t finish our meal, due to the blandness and wateriness of the rolls. Waitress was extremely rude and told us we needed to pay and stormed off, before even letting us communicate anything we had in mind to make up for the poor meal. Over $50 spent on sushi that was so awful, we couldn’t even finish more than 3 pieces. As well as, the salt shaker that had gunk covering the top of it and many hairs. Do not waste your money here. Terrible sushi and horrible customer service.
This review is going to be a little odd as I'm speaking as someone who hasn't been here since I was a poor college student. This place is perfectly priced for you college students going to Western who don't want to go out of budget. Everything here is good tasting, healthy, and filling. Tokyo House is here for you when you need a break from Dead Week! Can you find better food elsewhere? Yes. It's a lot more expensive though.
i would give this place zero stars if i could. terrible sushi, rude employees, and unprofessional environment. I went with my friend to this place thinking it would be really great considering the 4 stars, but it was a truly awful experience. we each got 2 rolls and we had edamame. To start, the cucumber was bitter, the sushi rice was completely sticky and gross, and overall terrible taste. there were also multiple health code violations, most notably the salt shaker. it was covered with a sticky goop all over the top with HAIR wrapped in it. we both tried one piece of our rolls and absolutely hated it, but tried to be kind and stay relatively positive. when approached 20 minutes later, we kindly expressed that we didn't really enjoy it, but that the edamame was decent and we thanked her anyway. she immediately jumped to an aggressive tone of voice, snapping that we had to pay, which was not even brought up by either of us. she said we were wrong and that they had been serving it all day, so she refused to listen to us and made us pay. in conclusion, we spent 50$ on 2 bites of sushi and a really horrible night. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!
Decent sushi. We used to go here regularly simply cuz it was the best balance of cheap and good in Bellingham. Recently they jacked up their prices though and it’s gotten to the point you might as well go somewhere else with better quality and pay the little extra for it. Still decent, but a bit disappointing now when we go.
We LOVE this restaurant. The food is consistently delicious and they are friendly and accommodating for our toddler who has food allergies. Our favorite is the chicken katsu but everything we have tried is amazing.
Meh. Wasn’t the worst sushi I’ve ever had but by far not the best either. The sushi all came out at weird temperatures and the fish did not seem super fresh. The musk soup was barely lukewarm when it was served at the table. My digestion was slightly off the rest of the day after eating here. I won’t be back.
Sushi was mid, probably would have been better if the restaurant included soy sauce. Got a spicy tofu veggie soup, although calling it spicy is a real misnomer. Spicy would imply that it's been well seasoned and has flavor. Utterly bland
