This is one of the better buffet in town. First, their very generous with their sushi and sashimi (but you do have to ask them for the sea urchin or monk fish). The sushi has very good flavor. Their soup station is always nice. They have various soups and can be tasty (with MSG helper). Their hot appetizers are very good. In the far corner by the restroom, they have the tempura and fried food. Again, very generous with the tempura shrimp. Another big surprise (and unlike other buffet) is that Tomi is not shy about displaying their oysters and crab legs, and crab. Their big tray is always full. Clams taste excellent and their vegetables are excellent and not over boiled. Their dim sum is okay, but for an evening fix, it's not bad. Their egg custard bun is good, but save that for dessert. What's not that good - their Korean BBQ short rib is too chewy, their fried rice is too oily, and their desserts are mediocre. Although it's a fixed price, they do charge additional for drinks and have a 15% service charge for parties of 8 or more. Overall, it's a very good buffet and nice atmosphere. Wait staff are also very attentive.

Hot food: excellent. Enough varieties and all dishes are delicious. Fried items: didn't try Sashimi/sushi: excellent. Ingredients are fresh. The different California rolls are great. All this for under $20 per person? What a deal. Service was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place. Simply wonderful. Forget all sushi restaurants. Just come here.

Decent buffet don't last long but Tomi has been there for a long time so east bay big eaters have a good place to fill their stomach without an arm or leg. The selection is many and the food taste good all around. Unhooked they be there for years to come.

Eating here is such an experience. Granted there is a wide selection of food and the trays don't ran out, but the customer service is terrible. Asked one of the servers for some napkins and she begrudgingly pointed to the three napkins on the table. There were eight of us! When we insisted, she threw the napkin and stomped away. A few minutes later she came back with the check (we've only been sitted for half an hour!) Its seemed like all of the servers are irritable. You can't get their attention and if you do, they seemed to be ready to swallow you alive. I don't know if they are mad that there are a lot of customers or they are just born that way. Or maybe, they are not being paid enough?

WORST BUFFET EVER. The prices are so high 3 adults 3 children under the age of 5 paid 135 bucks. The workers are so rude also, never going back. Food was also disgusting.
