After a cold night at top golf we wanted to grab some food. We ordered a regular pie as well as a vodka pie to split amongst 5 guys. The plain pie was great and had a really good crispy bottom. The vodka pie on the other hand was pretty messy. We waited for it to cool but it still managed to have most of the cheese and the sauce to drop off the slice. It’s a very heavy slice with a lot of flavor. Just wish it stayed in tact. Overall great service & drinks. Would go back!
This was Our first time here and we will definitely be coming back! Kevin was the most amazing server, so friendly and He was super attentive. Even though he was super busy he never left us waiting for a long time and he made sure we were always good. Kept the drinks coming too which we loved. His recommendations were amazing! Definitely the best service we have had at a restaurant in a while! Will be recommending this spot to all my friends and family, DEFINITELY ASKING FOR KEVIN!
Had a quick dinner meeting at this local spot. I Was not expecting much, but was warmly surprised when I walked it the dinning hall. It also host a full bar and rooftop experience. Which is where we dined. My wings were a bit over seasoned, but everything else was excellent. My martini was even completed with the traditional 3 coffee bean topper. Which most places seems to forget.
This is our third Tommy's Tavern location to have an early bite. The Edison location is one of the larger Tommy's. We wanted their summer special cocktail, Watermelon Smash. Unfortunately, it missed the mark. We had this cocktail at the Freehold and Bridgewater locations. They were super delicious, where that first sip was like taking your first bite of a juicy, ripe watermelon. This tasted more like a watermelon rind. They were gracious and made us another watermelon smash and this to failed miserably. Switch to an Old Fashioned and beer. Our meal was fresh California Roll, personal pizza and Firecracker 50/50 made up of fried Calamari and Shrimp. All three were tasty. Service was very good. Restaurant is clean. Kid-friendliness: Kids menu Parking: On site free parking.
Just stopped by this new location for my birthday with my sister. We went there on a Monday so they had the half price specialty drinks which was perfect for a margarita. Their Firecracker 50/50 was absolutely delicious as our appetizer. We also split the Bulgogi Tacos - I really liked the kimchi fried rice which they also offer as Tavern Bites. I was in the mood for sushi which is what I mostly prefer when I go out to eat so I got the Hawaii Specialty Roll - I’m crazy about spicy tuna so this roll was on point!!
Food and drinks were excellent and the vibe was great. Playoff basketball and the Yankees game were on the many TV's which was perfect. Keith our server was great very attentive and the service was quick. Can't wait to check out the rooftop dining when it's open.
One of my girlfriends and I got together for lunch. When I arrived the parking lot was packed. I found parking and walked in. I found my friend at a table and we moved to the bar. The bar was super busy so it took a bit for them to get to us. John was our bartender along with Giuseppe. I got the football Sunday deal of the wings which were very good and the $5 house wine. The bill was affordable and it was a good time.
I've been to Tommy's Tavern + Tap twice as the Edison location so far. It's always packed! People love it here! I had to park in the Starbucks parking lot today which is 3 buildings away because there was no parking! The first time I came here I had the Turkey Gobbler sandwich, and it was so delicious! I loved the stuffing and the sweet potato fries with the marshmallow dipping sauce it came with! It was so delicious! I wish it wasn't just a seasonal special. For dessert that day I had the Brookie which was suppose to be a brownie and a chocolate chip cookie in one. It sounded better than it tasted! It tasted like neither! Skip the Brookie! Today for dinner I had Tommy B’s Mac N Cheese. It was good, but not what I excepted. It was more like a ricotta Mac and cheese not like your basic cheddar Mac and cheese. It was good though, and it came with 2 big pieces of yummy corn bread. For dessert today I had warm sticky toffee cake which was very good! For casual food Tommy’s is a great place to dine at. I recommend Tommy’s Tavern and Tap in Edison!
1st time going but I will definitely return because this place has a pleasant vibe to it. The decor is really nice, spacious and sharp. Don't be intimidated by the look, you can afford this $$$ or go during happy hour where they offer great drink and food specials.Food: 4/5
First time at Tommy's today and was definitely impressed. All around great experience. Happy to have had Kevin help navigate us through the menu and take such good care of us. Our meatball starter was good eating, the focaccia really helped to hit it out of the ballpark. I also had the Triple T's Cheeseburger. So good I had to order one to bring home to hubby. All around great experience, great atmosphere, great food. Big shout out to Kevin for taking such good care of us during our visit. Will be making a return trip in the very near future with hubby. He also devoured the burger I brought home for him
