My dad's church held an outdoor service here followed by a yummy potluck meal. This is a beautiful state park in the wetlands along the FL coast north of Daytona. We enjoyed watching the birds and seeing evidence of the occasional fish. Because we visited after the race week crowds had left it was pleasantly empty. I would take some sunscreen if I were going back since certain that Florida sunshine is a bit intense even in winter. The area is very flat so could easily be reached by bicycle as well.

We went for the day and decided to explore! We took a canoe rental for a couple hours and explored the little islands and the water ways. We paddled over shallow waters and seen jumping mullets and exotic sea snails. Next time we will try kayaking and stay overnight. Everyone was very polite and professional.  Had a great time!

Great place for taking the kids fishing lots of secluded Shore area so you don't have to fish right next to people. The campsites were not all the same size and ours was small. The only place we could put our tent really was right next to the water spiggot. That made it a challenge to wash anything without getting the tent wet. We did have a lot of fun.  Cool areas to explore, relaxing places to fish, and also not too far away from civilization in case you need anything.

Nice campsites and beautiful waterways. Kayaking/canoeing opportunities which I will take advantage of next time.  Great camp store.  Close to Ormand Beach as well.

Good place to hang out with family and friends. Can do fishing, canoeing and kayaking. You can even have picnic as to they have lots of picnic table. Also nice place for camping.
