Mouthwatering pizza, to say the least! I personally had the Greek pizza, which was the bomb! The pasta & lasagne looked amazingFood: 5/5
Absolutely delicious! We got two of the Roman Feast which came with three different pastas, garlic bread, and a salad and it was only $33 total! Super fast service too, 15 mins total. Servers were very nice and professional. Way better than Olive Garden, not overpriced like their food is.Food: 5/5
What a wonderful place! This pizza place is very cute and full of character. I ordered a Cobb salad with their homemade Italian dressing, and it was delicious. I also had to try the Tony’s Special pizza which did not disappoint.Food: 4/5
Because we eat spaghetti and pizza regularly at home, we decided to try something different: Greek salad and the gyro platter. I am half Greek and have been to Greece many times, so I am going to assess the food more stringently than someone not used to it. The salad was ok, but it was more of a twist on Greek salad and not authentic. There were green olives, whereas the original has black; there were carrot pieces, whereas the original has none; there were pieces of cheese other than feta, whereas the original has only feta. Also, the size of the various components seemed off. The gyro platter was more authentic and the fries were properly crispy. We went early in the dinner service, so we had fast, attentive service. The atmosphere was good also.
Great seafood salad, great veggie pizza, & side salad. Good service too.Food: 5/5
Ordered the special. Catfish with shrimp crawfish etouffee sauce with angel hair pasta with salad and garlic toast. And spaghetti with meat sauce. First off. It would have been nice to have some salad with the dressing. I told them to take some off and they brought me more lettuce. Still not enough lettuce. The catfish was good and the etouffee sauce was ok but kinda strange. If you're looking for a cheap large meal this is your place.
To make extra money to pay for a home remodeling I have been doing Doordash. Until today I have never once had a problem walking. Going to the cashier and retrieving Tony's customer's order fir delivery. The way Tony's has it set up you go to the cashier and retrieve the order there. Today I go in and ask for the order, which by the way was just sitting on the counter. IT WASN'T UNDER A HEAT LAMP OR IN A THERMAL BAG! I asked for the order and the young man at the counter who by the way was courteous and professional handed .e the order off the counter. I was standing next yo another customer that was at the register and had place my thermal bag on the counter. There was plenty of room for both myself and the customer. As I began to place the order in the bag a big guy behind the counter very rudely and abruptly says "you can't do that right her. You need to do it over there pointing to the bench in the lobby. I would have had no problem whatsoever ever taking the order over there. But the guy was extremely rude in his demands talking to me like I was skum of the earth. When I voiced my complaint about his rudeness he arrogantly laughed. At that point I was enraged so I told him what an a$$hole he was and left with the order. I promptly called in o speak with the owner or general manager. A young lady answered the phone. A employee She stated were you the man that was just here picking up the Doordash. I said yes and she hung up the phone. I called back three times and was hung up on three times before I got to a young man claiming to be the owner. He defended his employees behavior simply stating this is our policy. I was trying to explain policy or not his employee could have remained professional and courteous. As I was stating this he hung up. I called back again asking to speak with the owner in which a lady now got in the phone claiming to be the owner. Same thing happened as with the previous guy. And then she hung up. I do want to also state that the twenty or so previous times I have been in as a Doordasher taking care of our mutual customers I have picked the order up at the counter every single time and bagged it in my thermal bag at the counter every single time until today. This is the first time I have ever been told to take it to the bench, which I do not have the slightest problem with. Although i would stare tgat if this is the so called policy why is it that policy has never been mentioned before?I had a problem with the rude arrogant behavior. She just hung up, I called back many times because I wanted to voice my complaint. They arrogantly hung up every single time until finally another person answered claiming to be the owner. It was Sterling who is an owner. He immediately began defending his policy without even giving me a chance to speak. I finally said "are you going to give me a chance to speak. Which to his credit he did. After I spoke my complaint about the treatment he again defended his policy which was not the issue at all and then excuses the big guys unprofessional behavior by stating it is busy. He offered an apology while defending his behavior. And offered the apology while again defending a policy that was not the issue AT ALL. He then stated that they love their customers which framed inthe defense of all his employees rude and unprofessional behavior and hurrying to get off the phone meant it wasn't sincere at all. It never once occurred to him to say under no circumstances should my employees have acted this way and they should have listened to your complaint like professional people.
The atmosphere is the trick. You think oh wow this place is packed let me try it out. Then you walk in to a sign that says wait to be seated and a lady that says you seat yourself. Only took about 2 mins for the appetizer to come out so I know it’s not fresh. And the pizza looked good but had the exact same consistency as a frozen pizza but with fresh toppings. Definitely would recommend lit pizza over this place even Gatti’s has better tasting food.
I’ve been a customer for a very long time and was always happy with the food, prices, service. But last time I ordered my usuals, the ratios were definitely under par. The meat on the salads and sandwiches was just not meating. Measly at best. My most recent order however gave me some hope! Our order was a bit more expensive but the food was off the CHARTS phenomenal like the Tony’s I’ve always known and loved. Prices are going up for everyone so I get it, they had to adjust accordingly. So glad to have the good ole Tony’s we know and love, BACK!
I still love this place as much as I did 25 years ago! Can’t imagine how difficult it is to keep something going as long as their family has! Obviously it’s because of passion and commitment. Thank you and I can’t imagine what it would be like in Lake Charles without Tony’s.Food: 5/5
