Hell yeah they are awesome. Fresh food, a lot of excellent choices and they have prepared salads that are delicious. The serve yourself buffet table is pretty sweet too. A lot of options to chose from. Love this place!
I came in today I was only purchasing 4 items so I went to a cashier by the name of Arianna R. When I got close to her I spoke which I feel she should have spoke first but she didn't speak back. I then waited for her to tell me my total and she still didn't say anything so I Asked her what was my total and she pointed at the monitor which I felt was really rude but I assumed she may be mute because she hasn't said one word the entire time. The bag lady said have a nice day but the cashier nothing. She Just handed me the receipt. I would have had better service at the self check out. Tony needs to have a talk with their cashier about customer service. I got her name from the receipt it was 3:54 pm at the Bolingbrook location
I like going here when grocery shopping for my family. They have fresh produce and a variety of items that I do not usually see in ordinary stores. The aisles are always packed with fresh products as if they're never running out of stock. I find it calming to go through their aisles because they are well organized. Good service too, keep it up!
I found a nice lunch meat, but didn't find my veal bologna or my turkey pastrami. They do have a great selection of foods.
Customer service is great buy be careful because this store sells expired items. I didn't look at the best by date for some bagels I bought that expired on 1/09 today is 1/19. The bagels were moldy.
The only great thing here are the kind employees. I've purchased bakery items that tasted like sugar coated crayons. I've purchased EXPIRED FOODS FROM HERE. I think it's ridiculous to stock expired items. Not a huge deal for certain items but it makes me question all items now. Bought the ketchup weeks after it expired. Bought the sour cream 2 days before expiring. Wish they had a better inventory & kept up with their expiration dates. Also their generic version of items is always garbage.
First let me say that I love the appearance of the store. The inside seems clean and organized. Especially the produce section. However, I will never, purchase any type of meat product from here again. I purchased ground beef. When I finally made a meal, using the ground beef I purchased, there were small black pieces of plastic inside my meat. I took all of the meat back to the store partially cooked and uncooked and received a refund. Supposedly the store was investigating it and were going to do an extensive review for me to be contacted at a later date. And that never happened. Because I posted my review on social media- I was contacted via social media. However the initial contact was the only contact I received.
This location quickly became my main grocery store after moving to the area a couple years ago. I tried a couple of other nearby Jewel stores, and found it was worth the extra few minutes to come here.
Tonys is awesome. Amazing produce compared to stores locally that sell clothes too. Sales are good if you buy bulk. Ex. To get the sale price you have to buy 4 items. Sometimes i dont need 4 bags of family size potato chips, but i do know some people do. These sale.proces are great! Sushi and rolls made fresh dont disappoint either!
My wife purchased two whole Catfish at this location @ $5.99 a pound spending over $30 for two whole fish. She asked the butcher to filet them which he told her they'd be $7.99 a pound if he did. Flustered, she took them uncut and came home. I, her husband, called and spoke with the manager Benjamin and asked was this policy, when they started this, and why when NO OTHER STORES I'VE EVER PURCHASED MEAT FROM has charged to filet, or steak, my fish. He proceeded to tell me the butchers charge more to make money, then he said "well sometimes they don't want to, or feel like it". He said that my wife "should've came and asked customer service" to ask the butcher to cut the fish as she asked... Why would she when she asked the Butcher himself which is his JOB? Because I continued disagreeing with him, he told me he wouldn't argue with me no voices were raised but because I kept making my point, he assumed we were now arguing, go figure... and told me "you can call corporate" as if I needed his permission to. I just shopped at Tony's 3 to 4 weeks ago making the same purchase, and request, and had no issues. Now, all of a sudden... If you don't want to do your job, find another. And if the manager is allowing this behavior, that speaks even louder volumes. Pretty sure race, and sex, played a part in their decision making. This is CLEARLY PRICE GOUGING!!!!!!!!!!!! AWEFUL!!!!!!!!!!!
