I had the liver and onions special. It was amazing--as good as my mother ever made (and she was an excellent cook). Two gigantic and THICK slices smothered in onions. It came with the sides and a roll. I had a baked sweet potato and a cup of buttered potatoes, both excellent. All of this for $7.99! 

The service was fast and excellent as well, despite the restaurant being crowded. 

They are celebrating their 40th anniversary. Go celebrate with them. You won't regret it.

Great local restaurant. Incredibly cheap and great portion sizes. Service is always great. A good amount of seating and can get busy at certain times of day for breakfast. Would certainly recommend the Looney Larry.

Try the fish!
Ate here on Friday all you can eat fish. Very tasty!  Good service and very clean.  You can tell this is a well run operation. Good food good service no complaints

PRICES- Decent prices 
FOOD - The food is never hot when it reaches the table. that is the one consistent thing each time we go here. The chicken for the chicken parmesan was kind of rubbery for my wife (which i thought that the last time i got it too). The beer-batter fish that they claim brings people "from miles around" isn't too bad but way to salty.
DINING AREA - The dining area is cold and the cold breeze from the a/c and fans kept blowing the napkins on the floor and made the food colder than it started out as. I heard quite a few people complaining about it as well. Some even had jackets on.
STAFF - The waitresses never seem to be very happy to be there and generally just not very friendly. 

We keep going back thinking it would be better because of the good reviews but it does not change. I really don't see how this currently has 4.5 stars on Google.

This restaurant usually has a line, and is usually worth waiting in line for.  They have their occasional bumps in the road like most places.  The wait staff is helpful.  There is the draft from the front door into the first dining area to be dealt with, but good other than than.  Hope you enjoy...
