This place is out of this world! The line can be long so I would recommend getting there early, but for a table of four we only had to wait about 30 minutes. Outside seating is amazing, there are heaters if it's cold and the atmosphere is incredible.. luscious trees and beautiful flowers with gorgeous furniture and decor. The inside is fabulous as well, adorned with pieces from all over the world, exceptional folk art and everything to pick up your senses! The coffee was delicious, our server was from Mexico and very very kind. The menu has something for everybody, including vegan! The food options pulled from all over the world, were very tasty! Highly recommend :
Great food and excellent service in a vibrant setting. Weekend brunch is packed and people were waiting for up to an hour to get seated. If don't wanna wait, i suggest go early. They do have outdoor seating, but don't allow pets unless they're service animals.
from the food to the ambiance and service, everything here was excellent! the french toast is a must try, even for people who aren’t typically fans. be prepared to wait a while for a table. there were so many eclectic pieces in the restaurant, i could spend hours just looking at everything. french toast: must try! lightly battered but on a thick baguette so flavor wasn’t overpowering. the honey butter put it over the top! half portion good enough for two people tuna melt: didn’t expect much but it surprised me. the sauce paired so well with the tuna and gave it a little kick
We stopped by for a quick brunch here and lucked out as despite the 1 hour wait we were ushered in right away. We ordered the vegan quiche florentine and half order of the French toast with a side of tower potatoes. Both were really good. I would recommend ordering half French toast for smaller parties. The potatoes were ok. The internal decor boasts of an eclectic collection with bright colors. Overall, a fun lively place with great food.
Such a colorful and festive restaurant! We loved the food at the Tower cafe and it was some of the best tasting brunch foods I've had. It's worth the wait over the weekend but if you are a party of 2, it moves fairly quickly. Our favorite dishes were their world famous custard soaked French toast. Its very different from traditional French toast but super creamy while thick. The bread does a great job absorbing everything and I would say it doesn't need too much syrup. I would also really recommend the Tuna melt. The bread was buttery and crispy and the quality of the tuna and avocado was just perfect. What made this dish stand out though was their green pepper jam/salsa. Sweet with a great spice kick. It was so good that we asked to buy a container so that we could take it home and enjoy. We also samples the breakfast mole dish which was not too bad. Highly recommend visiting them while you are in Sacramento.
This place is a local favorite with the BEST French toast hands down and I don't even like French toast. It's soaked overnight in custard. Other French toast haters I bring here also end up liking it a lot. I usually get a half order for the table to share since that one half order slice is humongous. The custard is delightful and the edges are a little crispy. Lots of parking is available in the lot in the back of the building. The large outdoor seating area shaded by Fern and Palm trees is relaxing and chill, but come early if you don't want to wait long for an outdoor seat. Especially on the weekends.
The fish and chips are outstanding, the panko breading is light and crispy and the wild cod is so moist. The coleslaw is unique, the dressing has such good favor. This is a very busy place and and I can see why all the food looked so good. Can't wait to try something else on the menu Parking: Plenty of parking
First time here and I've always wanted to visit this place. I love the decor and atmosphere. We ate outside as it was a pleasant night. The trees and foliage give nice ambience. We had coffee and dessert. Everything was very tasty. I can't wait to come back and try the savory menu.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: YesDelivery: No
Amazing Breakfast and Atmosphere! If you want a reasonably priced meal that tastes Michelin Star quality… here you are! We had the Madame Cristo, Raspberry Hot Chocolate and a White Chocolate Mocha. Everything was top notch and our waitress, Mandy was very attentive, helpful and kind. At this time of the year Aug ‘22 the insane inflation has made dining out a challenge but all together this meal was $40 including tax and tip. I feel that is still not cheap but considering the economic climate, pretty on par but for the quality, a great value!
Always the best food, kind staff and beautiful scenery. I love going over and sitting outside to eat. Its a tranquil spot to relax and chat with friends over food. I’ve never had a bad meal. And never had anything less than an exceptional dessert. Trust me, if you don’t save room for dessert then get one to go. It’s worth it.
