I would give a negative star if it were an option. I called for info about euthanasia for my 19 year old dog with cancer and encountered the rudest receptionist I have ever talked to. This is a very tough situation to be going through anyway, so to have her talk to me like I'm annoying her with my questions was very surprising to me. I couldn't believe she was treating me this way so needless to say by the time I hung up, I was in tears. You would think some professionalism would be warranted in this situation, however I was treated like a burden. Naturally, my husband heard my crying when I hung up and decided to call back to ask her what had happened and she laughed at him when he told her who he was and when he told her he didn't think it was funny, she hung up on him. I have 3 dogs and lots of dog friends and family, I would suggest taking your pets anywhere BUT to Dr. Muncy. Thank you to the Crab Orchard for treating us kindly and with respect. You will be where we bring our baby!

I love Town and Country Veterinary hospital!! Dr. Munsey is a wonderful vet and he always puts his clients first! Stacy is willing to help me anytime...day or night. I used to work there several years ago and even now I would never dream of taking my pets anywhere else! If you want the best care for your pets and to be around an outstanding staff....this is the best place to go! ♡♡♡

In response to the previous review written by Mrs. Tickle Dr. Munsey has this explanation. We couldn't "respond to the review" because we are still waiting on a confirmation postcard from Google to allow us sign in information as the business owner..... "Yesterday we had an encounter on the phone with a lady requesting us to euthanize her pet. The conversation with Stacy did not please the lady so she immediately slammed down the phone and proceeded to give us a terrible review on Google Business. Had she talked with me and given such a review I would have never considered responding. I was five feet away during the entire conversation. Stacy, as she is supposed to do, asked three simple questions: "Is your pet a patient of ours?" Her answer was no. "Does your pet have a doctor you normally use?" Her answer was she hasn't had to take her dog to a vet in years. And finally, "Could I please ask your name?" At this point the lady flew into a rage and said "I don't need some lady with an attitude hassling me." She slammed down the phone and had her husband call back and continue the verbal assault. Stacy was so upset she had to take a break from work because she was crying. Stacy also asked these questions in a very kind, understanding and patient voice. I understand it is often not what you say but how you say it. Stacy has been a wonderful employee for 22 years and as the face of our hospital she is generally the first and last person you deal with. Working in close quarters I hear a large percentage of the phone conversation. I have never heard Stacy be anything close to rude. Nor have I ever had a client complain in any fashion of the treatment they have received. Stacy's strongest points are her patience, kindness and extremely consistent demeanor. I am envious of her qualities. Her biggest fault is she often spends too much time on the phone trying to council people through problems there are no good solutions to. You quickly learn in business the people who have a legitimate complaint rarely do and the people with no legitimate complaint complain the most loudly. All of us at Town and Country have lost beloved pets this year and it serves as a refresher of how much pet owners hurt when that time comes. We also understand every wonderful pet owner handles grief differently. However I don't feel grief gives a person the excuse to be uncivilized. I feel this lady was extremely irrational. Luckily only rarely in life does a person have the combination of hostility, vindictiveness, and maliciousness. I'm sure this couple feels better they did cause Stacy so much heartache. The sad point of such an encounter is we forget about all the wonderful kind pet owners we deal with day to day and dwell and waste time on ladies like this that aren't worth the emotions. Stacy did not deserve this unfortunate random tirade directed at her. For that I will always have regrets." Dr. Steve Munsey, DVM Sent from my iPad

When you are a regular customer with Town and Country Vet Clinic you will be amazed at the constant quality of care provided by this group. We've been taken our dogs here for about 30 years and wouldn't consider going anywhere else!! From the receptionist to the Vet assistants and Dr. Munsey, all have been very professional and receptive to any problems/issues our pets have had.
