Trader Joe's is simply the best grocery store out there. They carry eclectic and high quality groceries often at lower prices than safeway/albertsons charges for their regular quality stuff. Try the Green dragon hot sauce and also the chicken potstickers (red labeled bag.) Also try their chapstick, shaving cream and tinned corn. You don't have to work hard at TJ's. Everything you pick up is excellent quality at an excellent price. They've done the work for you. All you have to do is pick what you want. TJ's embodies great quality at excellent prices. You are really missing the boat if you haven't shopped there. One caveat; this isn't the place to shop for produce, because it's a bit pricey. They carry produce so you don't have to stop at another grocery store. The exception is if you buy organic or if you are buying bananas. Their organic prices are often the best around. The bananas are always 19cents each, (about 49cents lb.) TJ's sells excellent quality vitamins, supplements and spices at very low prices. If you are a dairy and meat eater you will love the selection of fine cheeses, (TJ's sells fine cheeses for the price you will pay for Jack cheese in a lot of supermarkets,) yogurts, ice creams and fine meats, sausages and salamis. Make sure you try the plain Creamline yogurt if you like yogurt. The IQF (individually quick frozen) chicken is top quality without fillers and added saline. The vegan selection is good also. They have a couple of vegan frozen Indian food entrees that are truly excellent, vegan or not. They have the best tofu anywhere by a huge margin. It actually tastes good and has a wonderful texture. It's not like the plain white gelatinous mass that most tofu is. Their nuts and seeds section is extensive, high quality, and very cheap. Their soy based cherry chocolate chip ice cream will handle your ice cream cravings awesomely, and their soy based ice cream sandwiches will too. Best off all, their prices are really reasonable for vegan choices. They have an excellent selection of house plants, live herbs and flowers, live orchids hyacinth, all for very inexpensive prices. They have a large greeting card section and all their cards are 99cents. They have fantastic chocolates but sell it for the same prices that other supermarkets sell Hershey's. They also have an extensive wine and beer collection. Their imported beers run $5.99 to $7.99 a six pack. They are an environmentally friendly company also and sell many fair trade goods. Their fish is responsibly sourced and clean. Their plastic produce bags are compostable, and even the paper in their paper bags comes from renewable resources. TJ's is largely responsible for forcing other supermarkets to sell reusable heavy duty shipping bags made from recycled plastics. The bags were sold at TJ's first and shoppers like me would use them at Safeway and Fry's with their colorful Trader Joe's logos and advertising. The other stores finally had to fight back by doing the same thing. According to brokensecrets "It turns out that Trader Joe’s was the first super market to offer reusable bags in 1977 with their “save-a-tree” canvas grocery bags." The staff at TJ's is always great, friendly and helpful. They seem happy to be there and they will always stop what they're doing to help me find something. TJ's compensates it's employees fairly and provides then with decent benefits. According to glassdoor TJ's ranks 4.2 out of 5 stars as an employer. Benefits include 401k, healthcare, vision, dental, paid time off, flexible schedule, 10% discount and you have to work 30 hours to qualify. According to 20somethingfinance CNN reported, “assistant store managers — can make in the low six figures, and full-time crew members can start in the $40,000 to $60,000 range. But on top of the pay, Trader Joe’s annually contributes 15.4% of employees’ gross income to tax-deferred retirement accounts.” Shop with a clear conscience at Trader Joe's and still get top notch quality foods at bargain prices.

Trader Joe's is the best! The staff is always around to help if you need something, always very friendly and seem to have a great personality. The food is good, quality, yet reasonably priced and if you're not happy, they guarantee your satisfaction. Just return it for a full refund.
