Trails End Taphouse & Restaurant

Story

Trails End Taphouse & Restaurant first opened its doors in March 2011 as Snohomish Beer & Wine, a small bottle shop dedicated to supplying the wedding industry with beer and wine as well as satisfying the craft beer needs of Snohomish locals. The overwhelming support and feedback from our loyal guests encouraged us to quickly grow and change, including increasing the number of taps, building a draught lineup to reflect the desires of our fellow craft beer enthusiasts, and by June, offering our delicious panini sandwiches (still on the menu today!). As support for our beer, wine, and food increased, we were bursting at the seams with our strong drive to offer new and exciting items!

After a lot of dedication, hard work, and planning, in August 2012, Snohomish Beer & Wine expanded and reopened as Trails End Taphouse & Restaurant. Now featuring 28 taps and over 100 bottles of beer from all over the world and a full menu focusing on homemade dishes using fresh ingredients, we aim to maintain the friendly neighborhood feel from which we grew – personal attention to every guest.

In January 2014, Trails End Taphouse & Restaurant was purchased by Chris Shirley, original designer of Snohomish Beer & Wine’s panini menu, Trails End Taphouse & Restaurant’s debut menu, and a collaborator of our current menu and ongoing specials. Every year we look back on this ongoing wild and wonderful ride; we find so much value in the many connections, friendships, knowledge, experience, and success we’ve been so fortunate to share with you. While we’ve definitely encountered our fair share of growing pains (thank you for your patience!), we assure you we are always and primarily committed to continue our quest to exceed our guests’ expectations.

In November 2015, we expanded upstairs to include more restaurant seating, an onsite banquet room, and are currently working on an onsite prep/catering kitchen so we can better serve our guests in the restaurant as well as our catering division! We are constantly striving to make more positive changes; we always welcome your feedback to better enhance the experience we offer, including your experiences with us, favorite beers, menus items, etc. Please, during any visit, feel free to ask your server for a comment/suggestion card to share with us!

We are so fortunate to have a strong, long tenured core team of people who believe in, and are committed to growth, improvement, and providing a consistently stellar experience for you! Please stay tuned for more exciting additions!

There's comfortable family (including dogs) friendly patio seating outdoors w/cafe umbrellas at the tables where we chose to eat since it was a beautiful day. Great menu selection. Their home made pasta, clam chowder and potato chips were starting faves. Yum all around for the rest of our meal. Service was friendly and meals were on the table in a reasonable amount of time. Price on average was about $22 per person. We would highly recommend this restaurant to our family and friends. They also offer catering, which we were considering since we have a wedding planned in September that will be right down the street!

Always tasty, with delicious special menus that change regularly. The only downside to this place is that they don't take reservations (even call-ahead ones), so most evenings it's about a 30-45 minute wait for a table, and weekends out can take over an hour. The food is worth it, but this is for sure not a place to go on a Friday night when you're already hungry. During evenings and weekends, my advice is this: Go when your stomach is just starting to remind you that it's been hours since you ate, but not when anyone in your party is using phrases like, "Oh I'm so hungry, I just worked out!" or "Man, I could really use a snack before dinner..." or even, "I hope they have free bread!" They don't have free bread, and the delicious smells you're steeping in while you're waiting may drive you to the Kingdom of Hangrydom way sooner than you'd expect.

Our absolute favorite restaurant for summer! They have fantastic food (which is hard to find at taphouses) and an amazing rotation of craft beer! If there is a wait? No worries! Grab a beer inside and sit outside in their patio/lounge area until your table is ready! Love the staff and love that I can park my gorgeous bike right up front and drool over it :)

Great MANAGEABLE menu. I've been to a lot of similar gastropubs that have immense menus that are a lot to digest (forgive the pun) and invariably I end up liking something that eventually gets cut because the business can't support the weight of their own menu. If I had one complaint it is that they don't appear to have A/C so on hot days there is no reprieve from the heat outdoors.

So disappointed. Sunday evening about 6pm, waited a very long time for the waitress to take our order. Had to go find her. Then we waited almost 45 minutes for meal and found waitress to let her know we didn't have a lot of time left. She said 8 more minutes, and after 10-15 we let her know we couldn't wait any longer and we had to leave. After we told them we had to go, they came out with the steaks. They didn't apologize for the excessive wait and didn't offer any sort of comp. Steaks don't take that long to cook. Were they short-handed? No way to tell, because no one ever came over to let us know what the holdup was.
