Story

Accommodations are located in private railway cars, which have been developed into deluxe suites, and also in the former station master's residents on the second floor of the train station. Dine in our 1928 railway dining car or in the railway museum café in our 19th century train station. Explore our unique gift shop and take a stroll on the old rail bed now the Trans Canada Trail or relax with a drink in our Vice Royal club car.

When you visit the Train Station Inn it feels like you have stepped back in time, such an inviting place. We stayed in Caboose #9 it was very clean and had everything we required. The staff was very friendly, and provided a great breakfast at the cafe. The gift shop had lots of unique little items. This is one of my favorite places that I have visited in NS. Everyone should go there at least once for an overnight trip.

It's a very unique hotel and an amazing idea. You can see a lot of love went into the train cars. The unit was very clean and well maintained. However the pullout couch was so bad we had to take the mattress on the floor and you still could feel every springs (kids didn't sleep at all so we switched and as a result I didn't get any sleep and my back is quite sore today . It's time for a replacement. The food was average but poeple were friendly. You can take very nice picture and the kids will have a blast.

Great little place. My son loves the small boxcar with the loft bed, and their larger cabooses are nice too. The staff are great, and we've recommended the place to others...especially families

Such a neat place to stay, and very friendly staff. We were feeling a little guilty about dawdling in the dining car long after all other diners, but another couple came in looking for food as we left. Almost an hour after the kitchen had closed the staff was offering options they could still provide so the couple wouldn't go hungry.

The Train Station Inn is located in Tatamagouche NS a beautiful little town with neat little markets and museums. Great walking trail that was once the railway. The Train station Inn is right by this trail they converted Box cars and caboose into rooms. The one we were in was quanit and clean. Staff were polite and helpful. They also turned a dinning car into a restaurant the food was very good. The train station is a cafe and gift shop with a few rooms up stairs. Great places for kids. If you are a train lover you will fall in love. There is a thing called a road train that goes by donation threw the town we enjoyed this. There are beaches, museums, farms to go visit just outside of the town very lovely drive too. My family of three will do this again soon. I think it's a must do at least once I. Your life. Go and enjoy.
