So glad we tried out Trattoria this past Friday. Food was excellent & service was amazing. I love that this place is chef owned and operated, you can feel the love put in every dish. We started with the crispy brussels, quite literally the best I’ve ever had… and I order them from every menu I can. For dinner I ordered the chicken piccata and my husband ordered the steak and chips fries. Incredible flavor on both and my husbands steak was cooked to a perfect MR. For dessert we shared the Tiramisu, which was mouthwatering Not sure if it’s made in house but it definitely tasted homemade not commercial like many others. Portion size was spot on for the prices. We cannot wait to return to try more of the menu!
Food: Outstanding Service: Lovely Ambiance: Cozy and intimate The Caprese Burrata was incredible. The entrees were delicious. We chanced in one night while on a brief visit to the area, and it was so good, we came back the very next night. Also, if you’re vegetarian, options options abound at Trattoria Fortunata. More Italian places should emulate that. Dietary restrictions: Lots of vegetarian options, and more. From their site: “We aim to strike a balance between old and new, simple and complex, while also being committed to offering an inclusive menu.” It’s true.
Overall good experience here but coming from the city, Queens/Manhattan I can say it was to expensive for pasta. All the dishes were basically pasta and it was good overall but just to expensive for what it is. Good people tho and cute place. I just wouldn't eat there again if I came back to the areaFood: 4/5
Well to start we were sat at an inside table with chairs for exterior use, super uncomfortable, which is not necessary. Was stated the other tables were reserved even though there were about 6 out of 8 open tables and at the end of the meal no one else came in…Ordered the “Gnocchi Pesto Genovese”. To say the least it was not good and was way over zesty with lemon juice? It was inedible. Sent it back and it came back like soup and just as zesty the second time. Was told by waitress the Chef stated it was the lemon juice that was bad although I have had gnocchi pesto alla genovese in actual Genova, IT. They took a simple meal and ruined it. This was not even close and a super disappointment. Was not offered anything else or a chef recommendation, went away without eating. @$24 I would have expected something way more tasty and/or even edible, and for Saratoga I have higher expectations. I have been here once before and it is not getting any better. Will not be back and cannot recommend.
I don't take writing poor reviews Lightly. But I wanted to Write the type of review I would appreciate reading before deciding to go here. The server was perfectly nice, but the service was slow and missing basic elements. Ie waiting for people to decide what they want to order before listing the things they're out of at 6:30 on a Saturday night. The food was unimaginative and dated. Things can be simple and delicious if they're well executed. But you can't just individually fry some pieces of eggplant and put basic sauce and mozzarella cheese on it Put it on some raw spinachand be like Ta-Da! The orecchiette could have been good but was way over salted. The buccatini was also fine, but too much sauce and the pasta was overcooked, and the guancialethe was not rendered down enough. Again if you're gonna do simple stuff it has to be done well. The atmosphere was lacking. If the lights were dimmer, you wouldn't notice all of the imperfections in the dining room. The whole place smelled like it was mopped with a sour mop. The place just felt like it wasn't trying. It was a saturday night. Every other Restaurant in town was booked. They were practically empty.
We really liked the food here and Andrea was so helpful and attentive to us. Everything was prepared from scratch and not pre made which made the experience even better!! The ambience is nice and they have good selection of wine.
Such a cute and cozy atmosphere! Perfect location right off the main strip. The service and food was fantastic! We got the caprese burrata and the rigatoni alla vodka which were both amazing.Food: 5/5
We stumbled upon this place while visiting Saratoga Springs. I am so glad we chose to stop by for dinner. The service was impeccable and the staff made us feel very welcomed. Moreover, the food is also top notch. Highly recommended!!!
The wait staff was very polite, very friendly. Could easily be a top restaurant in saratoga. The only complaint was how salty the food was. I enjoy salty food, but this was almost inedible. Other than the salt the food was amazing.
Excellent food in a warm and friendly atmosphere. After a busy day of traveling, we thoroughly enjoyed this cozy family restaurant serving tasty fresh Italian food. We loved our eggplant Parmesan and vegetarian risotto served with added chicken. The casual and quiet atmosphere was romantic and the service was outstanding. Even the bread with their signature lemon chive butter was memorable. We only wished we had room for their special pistachio cheesecake. Maybe next time!
