This restaurant was underwhelming. Firstly, all of the empty tables had reserve signs on them. At first we almost turned right around and left. But eventually a hostess approached us and removed a sign and let us sit down. I just want to say how bizarre this is. Felt like a ploy. Secondly, while the menu was nice in that it was in mostly Italian, the food itself was not what I expected. It said many things were house made, but I think they could have done better with the house made bread and marinara sauce. Underseasoned. I also wish our waitress had introduced herself, I didn't know her name or have a way to have her come to our table when we needed assistance. We tried several different dishes, but the one I enjoyed was the tiramisu and the waitress told me they don't even make it. Feels like I missed opportunity, Italian restaurant that doesn't make its own tiramisu. The area and restaurant itself was cute, so I hope they can take my criticism constructively. I would return if they made adjustments to the food.
We come here several times. This is a great Italian place for locals. Dressed casually or up for the night this place doesn't care. It's very casual yet the food is amazing. We tried the lasagne, bolognese, and fettuccine Primavera. All great choices! Recommend the fettuccine Primavera out of all though.Food: 5/5
Love this place. Food and wine are exceptional...I recommend the lemon gnocci ...appetizers are great..I love the one with prosciutto, figs, cheese and balsamic....all of their pasta dishes are wonderful. Their food brings me back to my visits to Italy and especially Tuscany
Great outside table, heaters work perfectly. Lasagna the best I ever had, Mista salad perfect. Despite being very crowded, service was great. Can't wait to go back. Dietary restrictions: They offer many gluten free options.
Wasn't going to leave a review until I read the reviews This place is trying too hard to be fancy and serves mediocre food at best. The service is garbage. The lady was nice, but can't take her attention off bills and reservations apparently. I have one simple suggestion for you, "OpenTable"!!! Carbonara = scrambled eggs Bruschetta = okay, but lazy cutting of tomatoes, it all falls off the boat of bread, again a fancy attempt Pillow Gnocchi = kid sized serving and bathing in just butter without the flavor Zucchini App = Not zucchini, got eggplant instead, just went with it, she offered but didn't see the hassle. Bread = I like it.
We have been coming here for years and spending thousands. Average ticket price with a bottle of wine is over $100. My how it has changed. Server was unattentive and cold. Had to ask twice just for water. I made the mistake of asking for a straw and salt and she seemed offended like we are environmental terrorists. The dinner portion was minimal. She cleared the table but we sat for 10 mins waiting for the check. There were only 3 tables. Just not friendly. Ruined an enjoyable evening out. We won't be back for quite awhile.
It was okay…Tables had reservation signs on them, but then no one came in for those tables and we got stuck in the corner by the kitchen when most the room was empty? Gnocchi was good but the serving size was pretty small. Bread was underwhelming. No oil or balsamic with it had to ask for butter. The tiramisu was disappointing. I’ve never been to an Italian place where they didn’t make their own tiramisu. It was more like a chocolate cake than tiramisu since it didn’t have lady fingers in it. Overall so so. Experience could have been better. My highlight was the gnocchi.
We called to place an order for a family member to come pick up food for us because we are home with our COVID sick 4 month old and 5 year old son and the girl who answered the phone was BEYOND rude. Said they are only taking walk in orders. I told them our situation and she got the nastiest attitude and said it sounds like their restaurant just isn’t going to work for us then. Will never ever give this place our money. Very disappointed
Let's call this place what it is...an aggressively midwestern WASPY take on Italian cuisine. This place had so many good reviews we had to try it...and it was deeply...to quote another local guide on here...."underwhelming". This food here is the culinary equivalent of speaking with my four year old. The ideas are there but articulated with the skills of someone who has only recently learned the language. The carbonara was chalky for some reason and the gnocchi was.....dense is probably the best word. A word on the staff...after my wife sent back their disastrous attempt at carbonara...they pressured her into ordering gnocchi as well...which we already knew was losing proposition. For food...I deeply suggest heading elsewhere. The wine here seems to pull in the crowds....we did not stick around to find out. Headed to the taco tree shortly. Final note...the three dishes we did try seemed mostly absent of spices...see WASPY above. Credit where credit is due...the hostess and other staff seemed lovely. I think our waitress was probably just annoyed at us for sending food back.
We stopped in on our way to make Tahoe and are really glad we did. Outdoor dining; spectacularly good food the lemon pillow gnocchi were amazing; friendly service. Highly recommended.
