i been selling gold i find in homes as my job is geared to finding it for 15 years i just recently used them and found them to be very fair or better

When I walked in they were busy dealing with a customer, but they acknowledged us and told us to take a seat and they'll be right with us. The seats were comfortable and the place is interesting , lots of stuff to look at while waiting. These guys are right down the street from me so I didn't have to drive into Pittsburgh. The staff are professional, with a display of the current spot price of gold and silver per ounce. They have a calculator and a scale. They buy gold in pennyweight but you can ask them to convert it to grams or bring your own calculator. They do make money off selling your gold for a higher price, that's what they do ! But they were fair and honest. I sold 15 grams of  14kt scrap for 17.60 a gram. If I had a ounce or more I probably would have asked for 19$ plus a gram. They took their time and I was comfortable.I had a gold bracelet in nice condition and got offered spot price so I sold it on eBay. My honest opinion is it was a pleasant experience, the staff were professional and my scrap price paid for what I had was fair. I would recommend and I would do business with them again.Gold changes price so look at your spot price and then divide, You may be able to get a better price then me so don't be afraid to negotiate, it never hurts to ask "Can you do better" or "can you go a little higher". Based on the price of gold(1266.00 ounce at the time) and my small amount I was happy to get it done and over with. I would recommend the belle vernon treasure hunt and do business with them again.

Visited here 3 times to sell jewelry. First trip, I took in a 5 karat diamond tennis bracelet. Was told that they couldn't count the diamonds because they were not big enough. So I only got the price for the gold, and they actually deducted what they estimated the weight of the diamonds would be. So on my second visit, I brought in a 2 carat wedding ring. Now I was told I couldn't get anything for the diamond again. I cannot remember the bullshit reason why. My last trip, I brought in a diamond bridal set. Earring and Necklace. S t I'll in the boxes from Kay's. They told me bullshit again about the diamonds. They have cases with jewelry in the store, I was told that they were going to melt my stuff down so they couldn't pay me the weight prices and blah blah blah. These people are rip offs. They lie and lie. And the pay with personal check. Who wants paid with a check?
