Great doctors at this facility my grandmother works with them at the hospital and she says they are the best! Can't believe they only had 3 stars. They are caring and very knowledgeable. The kind of people you want with your pregnancy and with any emergency that might happen. Remember these doctors may run late but they are at the hospital dealing with another pregnant women. Isn't that what you want. Be patient call ahead.

I love Dr Markusen! She is gentle, kind and very thorough on her exams. Explains things clearly! She always makes me feel so at ease and comfortable! She's the best!

Dr Markusen is a good doctor, however, I'm giving her office two stars due to lack of professionalism that I have encountered. I scheduled my general physical exam more than 12 months ago. When I showed up 20 minutes before my appointment (as they advise), I was told that she's 45 minutes behind. I was very disappointed - my schedule is very busy, I work on average 50 hours per week and I have a small baby, so my time is very limited. The only time I could see her is on my lunch break (which when I had my appointment). Nevertheless, I waited 45 minutes, only to be told that she has another person in front of me. When I asked to reschedule the appointment, I was told that she is fully booked for the next three months! I find such conduct unacceptable in a professional world. Her staff (who seemed could not care less of the customers' needs) could have called and asked if I could come an hour later (I could take a lunch break an hour later), but decided that patients can wait no matter how long (for they are the only ones working). So, I have to wait another three months to see her for a once-a-year check up. I honestly do not believe this is happening in this day and age.

Dr Markusen is a SMART COOKIE and she makes you feel as if she's your new best girlfriend! She remembers to zip in the new best current vaccines above and beyond OB/GYN stuff, which is exceptional and considerate on all levels of a busy life. So glad to have her watching my back! Or front, as it would be? I highly recommend this clinic for all womanly needs, nice staff, great doctors, who could ask for more! MKP

I had to wait for more than a couple of months for my first appointment in Feb. Then the office called and left a message that they had to reschedule me without giving me any reason. Every time I called to reschedule DURING their office hours, I got a machine voice saying they're closed. Their answering machine didn't allow me to even leave any message. After several of my attempts to reach them, I got another message about an extension number to reach a real person to reschedule. Somehow I got through and made an appointment in March. When I went to my appointment, the staff didn't even properly greet me and said as-a-matter-of-factly that they had to reschedule me again since the doctor went to help giving a birth. I was quite offended already by the way they treated me like a nuisance. When I said it was the second time to have to reschedule, one representative said with a total attitude and condescending tone that it was not something they could control. Like I didn't know that. I understood it was an emergency Dr. Laughlin went to take care of. What I was actually complaining about was their inconsiderateness towards their patients and inefficiency in informing of any change in schedule so patients don''t actually have to come to the office to hear about the change (This is the 21st Century we're living in for Christ sake). But obviously they were scolding me for being not too understanding. I even overheard that same representative calling me as "that woman" among themselves even when I was at the window! I seriously want to go to a different doctor but I'm living in Monterey, CA, which means you need to suck it up and deal with it in order to see a decent doctor. Please, anybody let me know any alternative doctors with professionally trained staff.
