Food is by far the best! Best doubles I've ever had especially the goat and shrimp doubles! Person that serves in the morning mostly needs to learn some manners and patience. Experience was amazing with the Chinese looking girl with the brown hat and bangs. Bring her back!
i doubled back for some doubles. i came in randomly off the street to get a quick bite. the doubles were really flavorful and delicious that i had to go back for two more . customer service was nice and sweet. the actual restaurant is really clean, great seating, nice open window concept and has a great authentic Trini vibe and aesthetic. i will be back and can’t wait to try more then the doubles
Updated Review!: First time I came here on November 6th, the food was not properly cooked so I had to throw it away. Came here December 22nd, ordered several different things to give them one more chance. Curry duck dinner 4.5 it was good, a bit spicy but overall it was tasty with the fried rice. Doubles 5/5. Maybe some of the best doubles I’ve ever had. No pepper sauce this time but there was a green sauce callaloo maybe and cucumber. Very delicious. I would definitely recommend this. Curry goat and buss up roti with curry potatoes. 4.5/5. The goat is some of the best Trinidadian curry goat I’ve had with a tablespoon of tamarind. I ate some of it and loved it. Would get it like this again. Saltfish and bake 4.75/5. I got these separately but the saltfish was a bit too salty ironic, yet it was very good with the bake. Get it, you’ll like it. I gave them another Trini cause I’ve always been underwhelmed with Trinidadian food. This time, it was actually really good maybe a new chef. Come here for some food, you won’t regret it. The guy with glasses, maybe Indo Trinidadian gives off a negative bad vibe to me. Gut feeling is just letting me know he’s not a good person. I spent $40, today Monday 11/6/23 and bought two chicken curry roti, five doubles and a chicken curry dinner. Had to throw everything away. The woman put the extremely hot pepper sauce on the doubles. I couldn’t eat it. I didn’t ask for it either. The roti I don’t really like Trinidadian food like that but was urged to fry it had uncooked chicken in it. I had to throw everything away and will dispute with my CC. Absolutely upset for what I received. Take a look in the attached picture I posted and tell me if this chicken looks cooked. Smh. Never again will I come back here. Im calling the health department too. Unacceptable.
First experience for us with trini food and we enjoyed it. Kimberly was very helpful and helped us choose the right food. The place is very clean and hospitable. The doubles were very tasty and the scotch Bennet sauce is ! Be careful if you can’t handle that spice. Vegetarian options: Doubles and aloo patty are vegetarian
Sooo Good! I wanted my German partner to taste some authentic Trinidadian food. Trini Girl did not disappoint. We had the Pholourie Doubles, Goat Roti and Corn Soup. Not to mention the service was kind, funny, fun and informative. Thanks for making me feel at home Shakeela.
Flavorful Trinidadian food served in a casual and mostly takeout location. The quality and flavor of the authentic food deserve five stars while the restaurant space is two stars at best. So, if you want great food to go or don’t need a fancy location, then you definitely should eat here.
Before placing my order I called and I also left special instructions I ordered a curry goat roti and no one is not answering. Look at this
Ordered bake and shark on Uber eats no taste all baked cold no salt , the shark no seasoning jus tasteless won’t buy again it’s too expensive ordering on these apps n you can’t enjoy the foodFood: 1/5
Delicious Trini food! Got rice, okra, dhal, fried plantains and roti. $15 total and had leftovers. The staff was super helpful and kind, easily pointing out vegan options. Would absolutely come back. Vegetarian options: Ask the staff which options are vegan/vegetarian that day Dietary restrictions: Vegan friendly
The best jerk chicken I’ve ever tasted! To top it off, it was only $5!!! This juicy piece of chicken was packed with flavor and heat. I will be returning sometime this week for seconds.Food: 5/5
