This was the best restaurant experience I have ever had. We were welcomed from the beginning. The professionalism of the staff was outstanding. The kitchen was able to accommodate a 4 course vegan meal for me without the slightest hesitation. Course timings were perfect. The food was beyond amazing in both taste and presentation. It is definitely worth every penny. Highly impressed and I'm not an easy person to please.

Nice service. 10 courses with 4 add-ons. Somewhat innovative and sophisticated​ taste. The $210 is a bit overpriced.

the best ever that is all (2012) I wish I could be as eloquent in this review as the chef is with his food.... alas... I have started measuring the quality of any given year by the amount of times I can sit down in this restaurant for a meal. Being that it is thousands of miles away my numbers are low. This year, 2016 I've made it twice, hoping on three. That makes my year fantastic. This is my favorite restaurant in America. I'll repeat This is my favorite restaurant in America. Do yourself a favor if you are going to the Tahoe area, call restaurant trokay a couple days ahead of time and let them know when you'll be there. (Between reservations, and seasons it's the best idea). Ask for John, chef/owner to put together a tasting menu for you paired (by Roxy) with drinks, and just show up and enjoy. Do not miss this opportunity to be amazed by something as "simple" as food.
