I loved the vibe from the time I walked through the door . The cook greeted me with a menu and helped me decide on this beautifully grilled crocker fish with plantains. I enjoyed it !
This place is rubbish, I ordered jollof rice, suya, and plantain. I opened it when I got into the car and was so disappointed to the point I had to go to Mcdonald’s. The man gave me mexican rice and boli instead of fried plantain and jollof rice. The only thing that was good was the suya. Thank God for that, waste of $16 and I gave you $2 tip. Never again, maybe because I was the only person ordering and I looked young but I’m not a mumu, I wasn’t looking for my mother’s rice even tho she is a chef. But you really gave me mexican rice. So disappointed!
You guys should definitely go there . Especially if you are a lover of African food . The place is clean . The food is cheap , a tasty. It is by far the best African restaurant I have been too . I strongly recommend. By the way my to go to dish is the grilled lamb and plantain. Y’all try it you won’t regret
Really good goat and oxtail grilled smothered over onion paired with rice and plantains , or grilled tomato sauce.
The food can be good, the service can be good, but just sit and relax, because you will have to wait. The issue with this restaurant is that most of the food that is served is not something that can be prepared in 10 or 15 minutes, making it hard to have you plate ready fast enough. The best option is to call 30 minutes in advance and come to your meal ready... or just order online
Food is so delicious. I’ve always orders to go so I can’t speak much of the place or customer service. My colleague Liz recommend this place to a few of us working in a near by hospital and I tell you we ordered form here at least 3x a week if not more. Never never never had a complaint about the food. Very well seasoned, and taste great. I recommend the spinach, lamb, chicken, and jollof Rice. I do wish the portions were bigger for the prices and they give more pepper sauce with the meals purchased. However that’s not going to stop me from coming back here next time I’m in ATL
This is the 2nd time I have tried Tropical Cuisine and my experience was not any better then the first. I will not be going back or recommending it . Its unfortunate however, it appears I have the wrong skin color to ensure proper service. All the recommended items you rattled off to the next set of customers with darker skin tones would of been welcomed when I had inquired. What I would tell the owner is do not judge your customers but respect them in all their shades. You have a great brand however, you are in need of more support and locally is where it all begins.
Awful food! Big disappointment! The food was tasteless and to add insult to injury these crooks charge a 15% tips off your bill without your permission or any prior acknowledgment whatsoever and have the nerve to bluntly ask you for more tips... shameless! I wish I could put a more negative review or even 0 star for that matter! Don't go there and waste your hard earned money, there are plenty other HONEST restaurants around.
My friend ordered their jerk wings and fries with Uber eats and let me try them. So I was like, “wow” these are some good wings. So I went there and ordered two. I asked can get a side order of rice one order and she said that would be fine. So I paid, didn’t get a receipt. While waiting for her to fix my food, I looked at the menu and I couldn’t understand why my bill was $39! So I asked her for a breakdown and she told me that the side of rice was $8! I didn’t complain, but I will not be back nor promote. $8 side of rice just left a bad taste in my mouth!
Exquisite, elegant, delicious. Their are a few places on Earth that are hidden and when found, must be revisited. The Suya was particularly delicious, as was the grilled snapper with the plantains. Service was on par, complimentary cucumber mint fused water was provided when we were waiting for our dishes. Delicious, a must return for anyone desiring international or western African food.
