I am a very happy and satisfied customer of the Tropical Smoothie Cafe located on Telegraph Rd in Redford, Michigan. I am always greeted with a smile and prompt service by the team. Whether I come in to the cafe or through the drive through. My experience is pleasant. The Store Manager, Curtis is professional and shows particular care with details. He knows exactly what my favorite smoothie is; Very Berry Cranberry Smoothie. Mixed to perfection. I recommend you try it... If you love cranberries. = Of coarse there are many other flavors that you may like as well. Vegetarian options: There is a plant based meat substitution available. Kid-friendliness: My 12 year old daughter loves the fresh kid meals with a yummy smoothie. Parking: There is a big parking lot to park in with handicap parking available.
Pretty sure I got food poisoning from here. A couple hours after I finished my smoothie I threw up multiple times, my stomach was gurgling and I had mild diarrhea. I concluded it was their smoothie because I was perfectly fine throughout the day but after I drank the smoothie it was just down hill from there. This location isn’t as good as some of the other ones I’ve been to however this situation made me done with this location for good. I’ll make the drive to another one
If I could give zero stars I would ...A friend and I walked in this morning..siad hello to a young man who was on a computer and who clearly worked there, and he didn't speak, so we stood at the counter waiting and waiting to be helped, he walks behind the counter, still never said anything, then two female employees walked back n forth and never said a word, no hello no nothing! We must've been invisible! So we walked out. I will not spend my money at an establishment that doesn't have good customer service. No excuses. I do not recommend going to this location.
As a preface, the smoothies are really good. That said, every time I order *hours* in advance on the mobile app, I show up almost exactly on time, and I still have to wait upwards of twenty minutes. Is the app just??? Fake??? Why does it exist??? You’ll get your stuff faster if you go through the drive-thru, even if the line is really long.
This location has a lack of efficiency and poor customer service. I placed an order for my team for delivery. It took 2 hours to arrive and two of the orders were bad. One of the orders said no bacon, as this team can't have any pork. The receipt read no bacon, the label on the item said no bacon but their was bacon all over the food. The other had so much chiptole sauce on the sandwich that it was running out of the packaging. I called to request a correction. I was told they didn't have any drivers to return. They then said they would see if I qualified for a reimbursement and told me I would be in touch. Really? So, when I finally had time to go to location myself with the food in hand and pointed out the problem, the manager says, "okay, we will fix it but it will be awhile." At this point it was already 4 hours later. I waited and waited and waited, they kept saying he's making it now. Their were so many customers their with incorrect orders. I finally was able to get the manager to refund my money and had to go elsewhere for lunch.
EVERYTIME I come here, I place my order ONLINE. I come about 5 to 10 late on purpose and THEY NEVER HAVE MY FOOD READY. They standing around talking about nothing related to work VERY LOUDLY. Very UNPROFESSIONAL! Where are the GOOD WORKERS that really want to work.
The wait in line is always long and you’d think it’s because their serving fresh hot food. But , it’s the complete opposite. I’ve given this place many chances to change my mind about them but every time is a disappointment. The sandwiches never taste hot nor are they good. I have to pick through the entire sandwich . Also, the staff doesn’t seem very friendly. Never a smile or hello. You’d think it’d be different since this is a new store for this location. But, I can say I’m never coming here again. Please close this location. I rather drive to the suburbs then to ever come here again. They have no idea how to make the sandwiches or smoothies. Absolutely DISGUSTING EVERY SINGLE TIME !
Went back to try them out again. They have new staff, the service and food was Great. The Drive thru window was Clean. Thank for the new staff.
I love Tropical Smoothie, but why are your prices so high? $7 bucks for a juice is a little steep.
Pulled up on 6/18 around 7pm. The doors were locked even though workers were inside. I had ordered online already, so I decided to go through the drive-thru to see if I could get my order. The girl who came to the window acknowledged that the door was locked but provided no explanation, and just asked for the name on the order. When told the name, she disappeared into the store for about 5 minutes. She then came back to ask me and the car behind me to pull forward to wait. The online ETA for the order was 7:03pm. Someone finally came out at 7:23 to hand me the 2 smoothies I had ordered. Ridiculous.
