This was my first visit. Though the black guy behind the counter just looked and did not greet upon entry, the black female cashier did. She was very pleasant and took my order immediately. The staff also had a lot of playful banter going on, as they prepared our food. I did not like that they do not carry the side order of the kale slaw, which is $1.99 at other locations. The place was clean and had plenty of seating, though no outdoor seating is provided. It's also pretty cool that customers can enter from two different doors.
Went in around 8pm and it was definitely busy. People everywhere waiting for orders. When I arrived, I was able to walk right up to the counter and get help ordering just 1 smoothie. The cashier was friendly. I waited maybe about 5 minutes for my smoothie which I felt reasonable for the amount of people there before me. The back counter was a bit messy with dirty blenders but it was rocking and rolling. I always go to Tropical Smoothie but first time at this location. Would definitely return if I was in the area.
Got the Island green smoothie it was delicious and no guilt drinking it.Kale Spinach Pineapple Banana and Mango. It was so Good. The shop was very clean and bright. Everyone was busy working except the cashier no Five Guys Chick Fila greeting. However that can slide because the smoothie was so good lots of eat drink options sandwiches wraps flatbread good islandy selections. I will go back!
1st Food and smoothies are a hit or miss. Sometimes the smoothies aren’t blended. Sometimes the Buffalo chicken wraps have way too much Buffalo. That’s not really a big issue. The issue is No one greets you when you come in and when you look at them at the register they ask you do you need something like no I just came in a restaurant to stare at unprofessional workers. Then one of the black girls just stare with judge mental looks and get on her phone the whole time. Nobody has manners everyone said thank you for their orders no response. Idk if management is stressing everybody out but they all too young to be looking that damm tired or stressed. My thing is if you’re going to looking and act miserably all day at work just quit babes it’s not worth it for your mental clearly. They act like somebody owe them something. Very entitled.
Lovely to have a "no refund policy" that is not displayed anywhere and only being told this after my prolly 100th time not receiving my edible straw with my delivery order with no note no substitute offered and I guess now no refund so u just get charged for stuff they don't give you and hope you don't notice. The app needs to be updated to have a way for stores to edit orders and remove items not in stock before the customer is charged. Nothing but problems ever since newer management came to be. Horrible robbing policy that nobody knows about.
Tropical Smoothie is always the best! The food was good, the smoothie I got, and the staff were friendly! I recommend the sunrise sunset smoothie and the chipotle chicken flatbread!
Staff needs more training. I came to this location when I ordered for the first time. This was probably 4-5 months ago. At that time, the staff was great and the product was delicious. Unfortunately, recently, it seems like there was a change in staff because the service went downhill. The staff is so unprofessional. The person that was taking my order had a lollipop in her mouth talking to me at the same time, then interrupting our conversation because it was more important the chat she was having with her coworker. In regards to the smoothies, I normally go to two different Tropical Smoothie Cafes in the area. The quality of these smoothies horrible. They taste too watery and it shows that they do not follow the recipes. Once they blend the smoothies, there is so much extra that they use another cup for the staff to drink themselves I actually saw this happening. This is unfortunate because I used to like this location, but after a few tries, I will never come back to this location.
This particular location is horrible. From the person who took my order and gave me a vibe as if I was his enemy, to the terribly wrapped burrito that not only slid out the wrapper and fell apart half of it when I un-bagged it, my 4 time stroke surviving Mom had the worst time trying to eat that mess… she told my brother it was “hot and nasty”. Not to mention the people who made my smoothie could’ve wiped the residue off the cup. he was busy eating what was left in the blender. You know the service is bad when you get home, and you still have anger/ disappointment in your chest. I’ll stick to the one in Rosedale. Truly disappointed.
I've been going here for the past few weeks daily because I just got braces and the cashier has been so so helpful. She assisted me in choosing a high protein smoothie that packed a good amount of calories to act as a meal supplement considering I've been struggling to eat solid foods. I am so grateful and appreciative of her kindness and willingness to truly help me choose different options.
Normally the service is great but idk what’s been happening. Last 3 times i went my order has been wrong. It’s always missing something. It’s either they left the tomatoes on my sandwich when i put “no tomatoes” on my online order or there’s no bacon on my Turkey bacon ranch sandwich. How do you forget the bacon on a Turkey bacon ranch sandwich and they’re using way too much lettuce. The smoothie was great though….
