We're a southern-style restaurant located in Clinton, South Carolina. We offer an all you can eat buffet as well as catering and event venues.

Story

Trotter's Restaurant is a family-owned and run business. First opened on Highway 56 near I-26, then moved to central Clinton/Laurens on Highway 72, our friendly main staff has stayed the same since the beginning. We're known as the Upstate's best home-cooked fried chicken. Our dressing, gravy, and cobbler are some others that folks have traveled miles to eat.

We'd like to thank our local community for supporting us throughout +10 years so that we can continue serving y'all our best Southern meal.

The food is always good, everyone can fine something they like, even the kids. Great welcome by cashiers waitresses and owner. If your dish isn't out, they will do their very best to accommodate your taste buds.

foods good most of them time waitress is slow about bringing tea refills, workers tend to congregate out in the dining room and talk to customers in very loud voices. mentioned it to owner oh hes been here for yrs, well keep him in the kitchen  40 minute breaks shouting to other customers makes dining in in peace and quiet impossible.  10/1/2017  update ate sunday dinner in there place was busy worse waitresses in the world but then again 2 people working on sunday is pitiful. Asked for tea refill noticed i was  passed by everytime waitress was near my table 15 minutes still no tea. Food was terrible meats were borderline spoiled turkey was frozen left over. Could tell by taste got up and paid left told the lady at register of course she could care less. Told her this was my last dime  trotters would get from me. Eat at a taste of home its run by americans.

I travel for work, and this is the 2nd time I've been through this area. I've eaten here both times. The food is excellent. It really is like home cooked. The service is great, and it's been the same people there both times I visited. They have classic music playing which I also enjoyed. I hope they don't change anything, and if I come back to this area I'll eat here again.

I love the Dr. Pepper cake plus they have 7up cake too !!!
